First off, the customer service I received was extremely lackadaisical. The individual seating informed me it would take "15 minutes for a seat." 3 other groups came in and were informed 30 minutes to be seated (it took them 10 to 15 minutes). I was informed we would be seated next, after being skipped twice, once the table was cleaned. However, that table that was intended for my wife and I was also provided to a group that came in after us. Every group that came into the restaurant after my wife and I was seated before us, which is an unacceptable form of customer service. My wait turned into a 45-minute wait with the staff rushing to seat us after I started talking to my wife about going to Texas Roadhouse to actually be serviced. Our waiter also had a similar lackluster service, playing Houdini for the entirety of our meal. The chef, however, provided the best customer service of anyone I talked to. Thank you for your hospitality chef, and he even went above and beyond to come back to ask how our food was.
The environment is a timeline of military aircraft. Model planes are seen hanging from the ceiling, and pictures are plastered all over the wall, demonstrating pride with Colorado Springs and military history. You have an option to eat in the restaurant or plane, recommend a reservation for the plane, I pray you have better service than we did.
The food was great. My wife and I had steaks that were cooked to perfection and had a proper amount of flavor. The chef is their redemption for 1 star service, or it would have stayed a zero. Thank you for your hospitality and amazing food chef.
I apologize for the lackluster review, but it depicts my...
Read moreOk look if you like airplanes you should probably visit but other than the above average airplane enthusiast you'll probably be highly disappointed. We waited 45 minutes to be sat after being told it was a 15-20 minute wait. Service was fine, waiters all friendly. Food was not. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip and well it just was not real good. There were chunks of artichoke that were far too big for a dip. The vegetables were old and definitely not worthy of eating. Overall a wasted $15.99. I ordered the fish and chips and while the concept of it was good (batter crisp and flavorful) it wasn't hot! Felt like perhaps it had just been sitting under a warming light and the middle was cold. Fries were good. They forgot my salad. Son had the BBQ burger his comments "hard to mess up a BBQ burger for a 16 year old, it's fine". Husband ordered the guac burger and didn't even eat half of it and didn't want to take it home which says a lot because we are not ones to waste food. All in all I walked away regretting the $120 we spent. Now for the restaurant itself, this place needs a serious deep cleaning and remodel. The table we were had had a broken spring in the seat and was very uncomfortable. The vent above us was filthy! The paint is two toned on the walls and not because it's supposed to be that way but because they didn't want to take down the pictures on the walls to paint so they painted the lower half of the wall. So much potential for this restaurant but they need to spend a little money to reinvest into the tourist...
Read moreI went early, before the dinner rush. Only a few patrons at that time.
There are 3 seating options: at bar, in booth on main floor, inside plane.
The bathroom trash was overflowing. Probably from night before since it was early. With staff just standing around, that could have been addressed.
Servers dressed as pilots tell you to enjoy your flight as they seat you.
Food is higher priced as it is more of a casual steak house than cheaper family casual dining.
I sat at a main floor booth but walked through the plane. It seemed claustrophobic: a plane with seats removed and replaced with booths. Feel sorry for servers who have to go up and down stairs all day to serve the plane.
Kids may play in the cockpit, which has all the instruments.
Food is good; on the higher price range. I had the buffalo steak.
Service was awful for me. My server left to take care of bar crowd without telling anyone to take over my service. I could not get any server attention. It wasn't crowded and many servers were just standing around but wouldn't attend me since I wasn't in their area.
It was 20min from time I finished meal until I got someone to take my dessert order. And that was because I had to go to the host at the door to place my order.
Then it took another 15min to be delivered because no one knew who was responsible for it.
I couldn't get anyone's attention to pay. I started walking to the host again and then my initial server, from the bar, called out to have him take my money.
First time in my life I...
