This hotel reminds me of this banana from the $10 continental breakfast. The outside looks like it might be salvageable but once you peel back the first layer you see you were mistaken. First, I must say, the staff for the most part were wonderful. The front counter and "restaurant" staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. Sadly that's about where the good times end. There is some weird eco thermostat in the room so unless you're moving around, the system won't run. It was 90+ degrees this week so at night the room got up to 78 before I woke up and realized it wasn't maintaining the 72 temp hold I set. I set it down to 68 thinking it would run for the rest of the night but a couple hours later I woke up to the system again being off. If it's nice out it might be fine but I was far from comfortable this week. I couldn't understand how this place had so many 5 star reviews until I started reading them. There are a bunch of complaints but everyone rated the place a 5. The chief issue is the hotel has no free continental breakfast. For $10 you get what you would find for free at a Best Western or Motel 8. I've traveled all over the world and I've never had an experience like this. You can buy one of the $15 "cooked to order" meals which looked fine but at that rate you might as well go to the IHOP 5 minutes down the street. The whole thing felt like an extremely cheap money grab by the owner. Typically I'm not one to complain about bedding but man, this was garbage. The sheets weren't great but, worst of all were the 6 pillows. They somehow found 3 different styles that were all uncomfortable. I slept on the floor in Kuwait at 130 degrees and I was more comfortable than this experience. I had to get Advil the first day after sleeping here because I was so sore. Finally, if you're working on Peterson, this place is in a decent spot. If you want to be close to cool local stuff, this is the exact opposite of that. To get to the cool stuff you have to go through the hood so no walking around. The best suggestion I have is for you to pick somewhere else.

Howdy, Road-Trip Friends, I need to tell you about a place to avoid, and my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn by the Colorado Springs Airport was one for the travel hall of shame. I have a long and happy history with Hilton, so I was expecting a reliably comfortable stay. Instead, I got a comedy of errors. It began when I pulled back the sheets on one bed to find that the previous guest had left, let’s say, a little too much of themselves behind. When I went to the front desk, I was presented with a new interactive guest experience: the "Change Your Own Disgusting Linens" package. I was handed sheets and sent on my way. The room itself seemed to be practicing for a demolition derby. The shower head wobbled with the enthusiasm of a bobblehead doll, the elevator had taken a vow of stillness for one of my two days, and a wall panel was peeling away to reveal a mysterious hole with wires—perhaps a portal to a better-run hotel. The management's apology was an offer of 7,000 points for my $353 stay, which values my trouble at a whopping $49. The Hilton corporate line was more helpful, but the promised follow-up from the hotel manager never came. So, friends, let's be clear. This isn't just a hotel having a bad day; it's a hotel that has completely checked out. Your travel budget is precious. Don't gamble it on a place where the service is a joke and housekeeping is optional. You’d honestly be better off at a Motel 6; at least there, the price and your expectations are on the same page. This is one to skip. Happy—and cleaner—travels!

Clean and very friendly. We are a big group since we travel for 12U baseball. Not only do we have adults we have 12 players, and siblings. The restaurant/bar staff in the evening had our names down and new which kid was with what parent. She was amazing. The kids never had a problem letting them play out front wiffleball or watching the basketball games on the TV. I will definitely stay here again and recommend it!

Update to review I had a very productive conversation with one of the mangers who has purview over customer relations. She addressed my concerns, as voiced below, and very politely apologized for the experience. Additionally, without making an excuse, she explained some of the circumstances that led to everything happening the way it did.

I was and am very impressed with the response! Similarly, I am convinced that my experience at this hotel was a freak experience or the perfect storm. Knowing the caliber of management they have at this hotel and how they conduct business, I would stay at this hotel again. My worst stay at a Hilton property yet! First and foremost, the property itself is very nice. The staff at the bar, in the kitchen, and the maid staff were extremely friendly and professional. The issue I had was with the front desk staff and their handling of select other guests that were staying at the hotel.

During the first two nights of my stay, there was a junior softball tournament in town and a few of the teams were also staring at the Hilton Garden Inn by the airport. From the sounds of it, I had a couple of 12-year olds in the room directly above me. Between the running back and forth, jumping off the bed, and occasional loud yelling, it was difficult to get to sleep at night or stay awake in the morning. I contacted the front desk two different occasions and was told that a staff member would address the issue. Thankfully, most of the teams check-out out on Sunday morning.

Sunday night I actually had a restful nights’ sleep without any loud noises coming from the upstairs room. Monday night I was not so fortunate…

Monday afternoon/early evening an elderly man checked into the room next to mine. When I returned to the hotel after dinner the TV in the next room was blaring and the smell of cigarette smoke was strong in my room with had an adjoining door to the next room. Once again I contacted the front desk to raise their attention to the blaring TV and the person smoking cigarettes next door. It took 45 minutes to an hour before the TV was turned down. The next morning I had to fly out early. I was awakened by the loud TV once again, before my alarm, and the extremely strong smell of cigarettes once again. Thankfully I was checking out that morning. I brought the issue up again to the front desk attendant who nonchalantly said “I’m sorry about that” and proceeded to wish me a good day.

Between the inability to handle the other guests and one employee saying that a Hilton hotel didn’t accept Hilton gift cards, I was left with the impression that the front desk staff were incompetent and unhelpful. From my previous stays at Hilton properties, I know this is the exception and not the rule. But I will not stay at this specific Hilton...

This is by far the worst HGI and possibly the worst Hilton that I have stayed in. I travel a lot for work and only stay at Hilton properties. To start, I checked in online prior to my arrival and chose a room. Upon arrival, I was informed that the room that I chose was out of order. They gave me another room. When I arrived, there was a toilet plunger in a bag outside of the room. It's day 3 and the plunger is still outside of the room in a plastic bag on the floor. The walls are paper thin and I don't get restful sleep. I'm woken up by the person next door at 2:45 am. The birds are loud at around 4:00 am. It's currently 10:20 pm on a Tuesday night and I hear truck beeping and traffic. I'm always awake around 2+hours before my alarm is even set to go off. The bathrooms are another story. I've had no problems with the toilet, however, someone came into the room with a do not disturb sign on the door and left the toilet seat up as well as the toilet lid (I always put both down), which is unacceptable. The shower head is very high up and it's not adjustable, so there is very little water pressure. I'm short with long hair, so it makes it a long shower to try to wash and rinse my hair, etc. (Update) Continued to be kept up late and woken up early by neighbors throughout the rest of my stay. The Wi-Fi is very slow. Upon checkout, they didn't even ask how the stay was, but I told them anyway after they tried to send me away quickly. Other Hilton hotels seem to have a LOT better customer service. Overall, a horrible stay for a week. 0/5 stars and would not recommend to anyone and I will not be returning to this hotel on...
