As a sushi nerd, I have really found myself in love with this restaurant since it’s opening. I am not a fan of overly pretentious restaurants that carry an ego about themselves. It has a very cozy atmosphere, excellent customer service, and communication between the front and back of the house seems to be on point. I have ordered pretty large amounts of food in my visits, and it all gets to my table in ten minutes, consistently. Then, COVID hit, and we were all stuck with curb side service. To be honest, it hasn’t been that great. I have had issues primarily with wait times for my food, and the food temps being off (ie: hot stuff coming out cold/warm). So, after picking up some stuff for 4th of July grilling festivities, I had yet another urge for sushi lunch. I was very hesitant to pull into the parking lot, but went inside. So why the five star review? The gentleman that took my order, asked how the curb side service had been going for me. I was honest, and told him of my frustrations. He was not only very professional in his response, but was truly sincere and honest, asking me how they could do better. I was blown away. Customer service such as that, I have found oddly difficult to come by in food service. My food was brought to me in a realistic amount of time for my order, and he even threw in a miso soup on the house. The quality was on point! I might fancy other Japanese restaurants here and there, but Uri is always going to be my main sushi spot, actually it’s the only place I have gone to for the last two years. So despite some shortcomings, I will continue to support this sushi house while we all wait for the restaurants to open again, and I encourage you to do the same. Also, if you’re a fan of Japanese style fried oysters, this...

My wife and I like this restaurant. Been coming here since we moved to the springs. I will say the food is excellent my only complaint about the sushi rolls is that they cut the rolls into 5 or 6 pieces instead of 8 which makes for really big pieces that are hard to eat. Today we came here for dinner and the service was seriously lacking, first they brought us our salads and a bowl of rice for my 2 year old but didn't bring any utensils, I can't eat rice with chopsticks and my 2 year old certainly can't either, so we waited at least 5 minutes until I was able to flag down a waitress to get silverware. Secondly we eventually got our order of sushi the girl sets it down and walks away, no plates no bowls for the soy sauce... waited at least 5 more minutes till I flagged down another waitress and asked for plates etc.. finally after our meal was finished without any one asking how we were doing I ended up sitting there for close to 20 minutes waiting for somebody to come back and give me my check, it got to the point that my wife and kids went to sit in the car while I waited for the check. I'm not sure if we'll be back after this experience, next time we might try another...

This place has been a favorite local spot to go to for sushi and other delicious dishes. However, the behavior of one of the chefs our most recent visit made me unsure if I would go again. The first part was partially on myself for not noticing one of my spicy rolls listed avacado, while the other did not. I mentioned I had an allergy. However, when brought back, the chef became very upset and removed all of the avacado for each of the rolls, including those that were not mine. Then, due to a medical condition I had, I got up to go to the restroom with my water because food will get "stuck" in my esophagus. I overheard the same chef shout after me, "Why are you going over there??" While I assumed it was to someone else, I was told it was directed once again at me. The person with me explained to our waiter, who was kind and accommodating, but the chef continued to be unwelcoming. We both left very soon after because of this behavior. I have been here many times, and none of the other times has this been an issue. It is very upsetting to have this service from here, and this experience does not make me want to come back again. I expect better...

We have been excitedly awaiting the day this place would open, and were hopeful that it would have "ok sushi". Instead we discovered incredibly delicious sushi that was also absolutely Beautiful! Dishes have such unique presentation, making dining an experience. (especially our dessert plate) Our favorite roll was the Cherry Blossom, but we also loved the spicy salmon. This is probably the best sushi we've had (and we love sushi!). The staff is very friendly, attentive, and were accommodating to my fiance's shellfish allergy. We felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Price is affordable, and usual for sushi places of Lesser quality than this, even. This is definitely our new absolute favorite sushi place, and we are eager to come try more of the menu soon.

The quality of sushi here is great, but the true value of this restaurant is in its service and atmosphere. Near empty drinks are quickly filled and upbeat j-pop plays on the speakers. It is also a brightly lit restaurant that isnt afraid to offer the whole restaurant sake bombs and and cheer people on. The fun vibe makes it feel less fancy than other sushi restaurants but doesnt sacrifice quality in doing so. A great sushi place for friends or upscale relaxed dates. I highly recommend the sunflower roll, the refreshing slice of lemon on salmon is superb!!

Initial review from sitting here. My family and I were looking for somewhere to eat on Saturday night after work and almost all the places we wanted to go to either closed early or the wait was about 1-2 hours. So we decided to stop by here and we were seated right away which was nice. The food came out really fast! Everything was delicious. I ordered the Udon Tempura and it was great! The tiger roll was also amazing. The service was a little slow at first. The two waitresses were busy talking to each other for most of the night. But overall good place.
