I've felt I was discriminated this morning again by the same person . Tony at the front desk refuses to serve or makes excuses not to serve me. I've been staying at this hotel for 3 or 4 weeks.
As of today (July 3) I was checked in until July 17 (2 weeks). But Tony refused to extend my permit to park my car until July 17. He simply added "1" in front of "3" in the expiration date in the old permit. He said 10 days is maximum. WHAT?
I said how come he can check me in for 14 days but he can let my car only 10 days? He than grabbed a blank permit paper with an attitude.
He refused to fill out the form with my vehicle's info, he put July 17 in the expiration date area. I asked him to fill out the form. He refused it, he said it's not his job..!! WHAT?
I told him I will report him to the management. He doesn't care. He didn't even tell his name, he shows the little thing on his chest.
Then I asked him if I have a mail, he did not even look at the box where they collect mails. He said there's no mail for me.
This guy had attitude towards me last week too. Each time when I had to interact with him, he showed an attitude. He makes me feel uncomfortable to be there. Even asking for a toilet paper is an issue with this guy.
I've been patient with this guy. But after the discrimination I have faced today... enough is enough. I'm reporting this issue on google so everyone will see it and hopefully the management will hire normal people.
I was still patient before posting this review. I wanted to speak to a manager today before this review. There's no manager in the office. Tony is not helpful for me speaking to a manager. There's no way to reach a manager. I tried to reach out the manager several times by calling the number of the company, Tony the person who discriminates me picks up the phone. I'm not getting answer about when and how I can talk to a manager either.
I reported this issue to the company that sent me to this hotel. Now I'm filling out this google review hopefully someone will read it.
This guy's attitude is not acceptable.
Also this permit thing is ridiculous. Instead of giving the security people the list of the cars that are allowed to park in their parking lot, they make everyone go to the office and wait extended times like 30 minutes, 60 minutes just to get this permit each time... This morning I had to wait around 45 minutes for nothing and I got this attitude.
After that long waiting time Tony is telling me he can not give me permission during the full time I'm checked in. Because the maximum time is 10 day. Then why are they allowing people for two weeks then? THIS IS TOTAL NON SENSE..!!!!
Or are they partnered with the towing company??? I want to know what kind of logic is behind this ridiculousness that you can check in for long term but you're only allowed to park your car for 10 days maximum and every 10 days you need to wait in the line and get a new permit...
And what is this ridiculousness for that they are not obligated to fill out their permit? How come it's customer's job? If you require me to get a permit from you IT IS YOUR JOB to fill out the permit...
Read moreCheck in went great didn’t show up until 4 am due to flights and rental car the lady at the desk was super sweet and I apologized for keeping her up all night and we had great conversation! As I arrived realized it wasn’t the nicest area which I was fine with “you get what you pay for” however entered the room got 5 stars painted on the walls with the word gizmo engraved in the shower, the floor was sticky, hair in the shower, no shampoo, one bar of hand soap, no water pressure. Few hours later after coming back Access card didn’t work security guard went to front office to try and help Ashley told security guard no even though she could see me through the window and had my id and access cards with the hotel number instead had to wait an hour outside as they only let one person in the office at a time just for Ashley to have an attitude as I tell her the security guard came in and tried to help me but you told him I had to stay in line! She wants to have an attitude I told her the place was ghetto I got 5 stars painted on the walls I slept in full clothes on top of the blankets knowing I would only be there for 2-3 hours max. You can also get anything you want at that place if you know what I mean. come to find out the gm was fired a couple weeks earlier. Ashley then decided to threaten me with the cops and try and “kick me out” of the hotel as she tells one of her “friends” from the hotel to come in I guess to make me feel threatened? Not the security guard I had spoken with earlier who was walking around the building and she had a radio too…. keep In mind they only allow one person In the office and make everyone else wait. I told her I was leaving anyways and how dumb she would look calling the cops as I’m trying to get my stuff and leave and I don’t have access to the room I paid for to get my things to leave. that’s why I was there as I left a few things in the room when I left earlier but already had an Airbnb as well it was a back up plan as I knew I would be coming in super late. she then tried to tell me she would make sure I wouldn’t get a refund blah blah blah. The security guard is a great guy and I feel bad for him he took great care of me and made sure to get me In my room and let me get my things after she decided he could. Keep in mind she wouldn’t let him an hour + earlier. Moral of the story if this is all you can afford go for it but wouldn’t recommend ANY FAMILY to stay here. There is a reason they have active security and an increase of police presents...
Read moreI have stayed at many motels, hotels, suites and air bnbs for a reasonable price for under $60/night and coming to Colorado for the first time I had a bad experience here at this hotel. Check in is at 3pm and it took nearly an hour to get my room key card. The staff was sweet and handled customer service politely with me, but they seemed to be under pressure with whatever was going on and I felt bad honestly. It felt like this hotel may be a place where drugs are being handled and I tried not to judge it at first, but it was just an off feeling at hand. I booked this hotel 2 months in advance with minimal expectations knowing I had a short stay, but once I walked into my room I automatically was uncomfortable. The wall lamp was partially broken, the ac unit didnt blow any heat (it was 50 degrees & below outside during my time in CO.) There was no shower curtain, the bed felt unstable, the interior itself looked unkept, even in a second floor room you could hear EVERYTHING outside, which made me feel like it's vice versa; therefore no privacy. I didn't feel safe. Overall it was very unsatisfactory and I immediately and politely asked for a cancelation, calmly left and didn't stay. Unfortunately there is a reason it is 2.7 stars rated hotel.
P.S- I booked through the actual website of Hometowne Studios Colorado Springs -Airport location and the process to cancel was very frustrating! I was told at the front desk they will cancel on their end, but to call Redroof to handle the final cancelation and refund. When I called Redroof customer service they told me to go in the office to cancel my booking, which didn't make any sense. They told me the booking was non-refundable because I checked in, even though my cancelation was following policy guidelines that I can cancel before 6pm hotel time. Whatever, I moved past it and looked for a different hotel to stay. Fast forward, two days later I have a pending transaction from the hotel to withdraw over $100. I was furious, because at this point I've paid twice for a run down hotel that I refused to stay at. The transaction was withdrawn on the 5th day, so I called my credit union to make a claim to dispute it and eventually I got my money back from the transaction I did not give permission to.
I wish this wasn't my first day starting my trip in Colorado, but now I'm more aware for future bookings and it will never be through...
