The Kamayan Hideaway — Restaurant in Colorado Springs

Went to this restaurant for the first time today! The location is actually a cool spot! It's in a hotel! The Satellite hotel! Service was great! Place can fit about 80+ people with booth seating overlooking the pool and a lounge next door. They also serve alcohol and many TVs for those who like to watch and eat.

Now for the food: Lumpia is a must! Perfectly crunchy and love the portion size! The fried Gyoza was also perfectly made! Pancit was also made with love. It was a 9 out of 10. The Tocino wasn't your ordinary tocino which is what I'm used too, it was more of a fusion type. More like a barbecue chicken not tocino. It was okay but not my favorite. I gave that 7 out of 10. The Chicken Adobe was delish! I would order that again! Bangus wasn't boneless so that was work to eat. Boneless is better. Every egg that came with the dishes was made perfect. The presentation was also 10 out of 10! The Ube drink was a touch too sweet. The passion fruit was a tasty drink but also too sweet. None of us finished the drinks. Overall a great experience and food was satisfying. Would definitely try it again! We can't wait to try the pandesal and other foods not on the menu. We ordered common Filipino dishes that typically take 10–20 minutes to prepare. After about 30 minutes, our soup was finally served — which we did enjoy. However, over an hour passed and the rest of our food still hadn’t arrived, even though we were the only customers (party of 3).

It seemed there was only one staff member handling both the orders and the kitchen. I was very hungry and frustrated, so I stepped out of the restaurant — but out of courtesy, I left my son to wait and get the food to go.
