This location is a HOT mess. I had to be somewhere at 5:30pm that would have me tied up till 10:30-11pm so I needed a nice, quick meal to go…if I could have made a different stop on the way I would have walked right out mid burrito making it was so bad. The dine in area was completely disgusting; trash over, dirty tables, chairs all over and not pushed in. I don’t think anyone had even attempted to keep it clean and stocked the whole day. Two separate doors were locked that should not be during business hours. The staff was very unfriendly. The food was sparse and under stocked on the line. There was only one group sitting down eating and two people in front of me in line. The girl literally gave me less than half a scope of rice because they were out and acted like it was normal. When I asked her to switch to brown rice she acted inconvenienced. I don’t typically ask for more rice because that’s something I usually have to say light or easy on because they over use it as a filler. The medium salsa looked like a science experiment because it was so dried out and stuck to the sides of the container. The only thing that was right was the guacamole. The burrito itself was a terrible mess…I could not even consume it like it was intended, the two bites I did get before it fell into heaping mess were not great and had to wait to stop and pick the protein out and ditch the whole meal because the rice was crunchy and the who inside made we wonder if I might end up sick from eating it. What a waste of $14…I will never stop at this location. I’ve already stopped eating out as much because of experiences like this that don’t make it worth the money you are spending. I can’t even believe the state of this store and the food. I wasn’t able to leave adequate feedback for my meal via the chipotle feedback link so I thought I’d share the awful experience here but seeing the reviews it’s clearly an ongoing issue. The store either needs to close or they need to find better management because it’s not a location I’d visit again...
Read moreEDIT (2nd REVIEW): They must have read my review or something because when I went there Sunday evening, the crew didn’t hold back on the meat. Heaping spoonful that time. Went there again on a Wednesday evening to test for consistency, the girl scooped up meat against the side of the bin making for a smaller pile of meat so I was still kind of disappointed. They can’t seem to decide on scooping up a heaping pile of meat, or doing that stupid barely-a-scoop portion. I will say this, the Sunday evening crew showed a marked improvement. When I say extra rice, they put it. When I say extra cheese boy do they load it up. The Sunday evening crew loads it up knowing full well it will push the tortilla to its absolute load-bearing capacity but expertly packed it up anyways without having to use a rescue tortilla to seal any tears. I didn’t take a picture but the Sunday evening crew also packed it like a traditional Chipotle “lump” and not the long, bendy abomination that the amateurs who started this place rolled their burritos into. Also, one of the staff complimented my mustache. I HAVE RAISED MY REVIEW from one star to FOUR as I believe they deserve it. If they can get the middle of the week crew to stop dolling out these Soviet-era ration scoops of ingredients I think they can really turn it around. I wish others in their reviews give this place a second or third go to motivate them to do better and adjust their reviews accordingly.
(ORIGINAL REVIEW): I think they’re rationing on the steak at this location or something. Every chipotle I go to (I have been to many across Denver and her suburbs and every one here in Colorado Springs) seems to scoop a heaping pile of meat. Not this one. Barely a full scoop. Every individual that has wrapped my burrito here seems to wrap these burritos like a total amateur. A consistent Chipotle style is a shorter, fatter burrito. Not here. It’s an elongated bendy abomination. They don’t replenish the green tabasco at the condiments...
Read moreEdit: Included a 3rd photo of the SAME exact bowl order, but from the N. Academy and Kelly Johnson location that shows a FAR more plentiful portion size. Original review text:
Portion size. I go to Chipotles all over town. In fact, I went to a different one just a few days before this one. This place has a portion size problem. I ordered a bowl, started with a single scoop of rice that didn't even cover the bottom of the bowl (photo included). Next some carne asada, which seemed okay, then some cheese and guac. Very expensive with the guac and premium meat, and I can't believe how little I got for the premium price paid. Clearly, the staff are being trained to do this because complaints about portion size blanket the reviews and they are still doing it. There is no other Chipotle in town that I've been to that does this. So the management at this specific location are training their staff to do this. Until this is addressed, I will be avoiding this location specifically. Too bad.
My daughter's cheese quesadilla was not fully cooked, so it ended up being a shredded cheese sandwich (photo included). She wouldn't even finish it because the cheese would just fall out when she picked it up. She's 8 and has very rudimentary requirements for food preparation, and they were not met. This is the first time she didn't want to finish a Chipotle quesadilla. I'll end up having to make additional food to compensate for this incompetent service.
The last thing I'll mention is that I usually get the fajita veggies on my bowl or salad, but I looked at what they had in metal serving container and they looked closer to raw than cooked so I...
