I really wish I was coming here to leave a good review. But after a year of disappointing experiences at the Dublin location, tonight I found a hair cooked into my burger and have decided I'm giving up on the establishment. Before tonight our biggest problem has been the missing toppings on our burgers, both free and those for which we were always charged and paid extra. More than once we have received skirted heifers without the skirt, the cheese skirts are burnt most of the time, and once we were given a single order of fries instead of the shareable order we had ordered and paid for. We have never received an apology from any of the employees when we have complained about the repeated mistakes. When my husband called to complain about our missing 1/2 order of fries the girl who answered the phone gave him the song and dance, claiming that they had changed their policy and were now putting the shareable orders of fries in the same box as one of the burgers on the same order. Funny. We've never received an order of shareable fries boxed with one of our burgers neither before or after that day. All of these mistakes have added up to over $40. Now I get the hair cooked into my burger without asking or paying for the extra protein. And we have caught on to the fact that the amount and frequency of mistakes increases at a rate consistent with how late in the evening you place the order. Our complaint about the atmosphere has to do with their tendency to start cleaning their dining room and putting their chairs up as early as 8 p.m., even though they weren't supposed to be closed until 10:00. Kind of makes you feel unwelcomed. And here the people in our generation go around thinking that, if the sign says you're open until 10 p.m., that means you're open until 10 p.m. When we were young and working in food service had we just suggested to our managers that we should start closing the dining room 2 hours before closing, or that "open until 10" should mean that we stopped taking orders before 10, we would have been informed that if we didn't want to stay that late we could find a new job. Shocking, I know. "What do you mean the boss told you that at 9:59 you were still open and if a customer walked through the door at that time they got served?" We really like the Skirted Heifer and definitely gave them more than their fair share of chances to improve, always telling ourselves that it will be better next time. But what's that saying about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome? We will be looking for a new burger joint on our...
Read moreLet me start by saying that I am thankful to my company for buying my lunch today. It was very much appreciated. That said, our first and likely our last experience with The Skirted Heifer on Dublin Blvd left a lot to be desired. If you see the attached pictures, what we ordered was written down correctly, but if you view what we were charged for and what they did, our orders were completely wrong. The put bacon and pineapple on both burgers, charged us for both, but we only wanted it on one. They put the ketchup and mayo on the one with a wheat bun when it should have been sesame seed. The sauce cups weren't even half full, so we barely got any. We got two big boxes for fries that were seemingly 1/4 full. Out of the 3 of us that shared this food, none of us enjoyed the meal. The skirted cheese was just kind of burnt and tasted terrible. I could go on and on about this bad experience, so I'll end with this... Thanks to my company for allowing us to try something new. I would be more understanding if they were at least busy, but there was nobody in the place waiting for orders and only two orders sitting next to mine. The kitchen was slow and in no hurry, so I see no reason for these mistakes to have been made. The burger was smashed so thin, it was more crispy and dry than anything. Over all, our experience was bad and we likely won't return. It's really unfortunate and I didn't appreciate being charged for pineapple and bacon twice on top of the rest of the order being wrong. Perhaps the one downtown is better and we may try that one some day, but this put a pretty bad mark for us. I hope your...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place more - the ingredients are very good quality, I am a fan of grass-fed meat, portions are generous, and the soda selection is cane sugar based instead of corn syrup, so both the ones I tried were delicious. We had two burgers for dining in and one to go, which the cashier handled gracefully. However, the table was sticky (eww), the garlic focaccia bun was flaccid and undercooked, as were the fries, although my son got his on a sesame seed bun, which was pleasantly brown. You don't get to pick the doneness of your burger, and I get not wanting to serve undercooked hamburgers, but both mine and my son's were about medium-well, and I would have liked a touch of pink left, which would have made the patties even juicier. The ketchup had a weird aftertaste. The front of the restaurant was completely open, which would have been fine except it was a 90° day, so even sitting inside it was uncomfortably warm. The metal chairs were more comfortable than metal chairs usually are, so that's good, but there were no rubber feet or anything on them, and the constant scraping of metal against the concrete floor as people shifted and moved was like fingernails on a chalkboard. Lastly, the place is absolutely stuffed with tables - I wasn't quite getting elbowed by the person at the next table, but it was close, and it ended up feeling claustrophobic in spite of the open front of the restaurant. Having just a couple fewer tables would have allowed a bit more breathing room. I may try again, but with a different bun, and to-go rather...
