I've been an amateur (home) roaster and espresso connoisseur for decades. I've pulled shots on Rancilio, Gaggia and my current, Flair 58. I know my beans and espresso.
I was visiting CB and decided to do a coffee crawl of a few coffee houses that were recommended to me. From all of them, I ordered a cappuccino to evaluate how well the espresso cut through the milk and the froth quality.
Coffee Lab was near the top but not at the top for me. My capp was very good. The espresso cut through the milk and the froth quality and temp were up there as well. Overall, a very drinkable beverage.
When I asked if I could have my capp in a ceramic mug with latte art, the young man behind the counter did not hesitate, and sheepishly admitted he was not that good but would try. His heart was admirable (and much better than any art I do at home).

Also, the person working 10/1 and 10/2 was the nicest most hard working person I’ve ever met. She was the only one working with a line out the door and she was kind, patient, quick, AND still made me the best coffee I had in CB. Other coffee shops in the area were also understaffed but were rude and threw together bad drinks. I hope the managers at coffee lab see this and give this worker a raise. She more than...

I was taking my time to look at the menu and she stared at me until I told her I was still looking. She then proceeded to roll her eyes when I asked for more time and acted like I was interrupting her day by ordering a coffee. Whoever was working the counter today I’m sorry your miserable in your life but you literally work in the middle of paradise. What a shame it was to experience the rudeness before I go shred...
