I can’t even begin to explain how highly disappointed and disgusted I am with this place. We’ve been coming out to Crested Butte for many years and have looked forward to eating here. The service in the past was always friendly and food was amazing. Sometimes slow due to high volume, which I completely get during peak season.
However, today, the place was at 50% capacity. Our waitress was completely rude and rolled her eyes at us multiple times. Our food had chicken that was still frozen And when we said something, she just glared at us and did nothing. In hindsight, I should’ve had the manager come over and sent the food back - but did not want to make a stink as I recognize how difficult it is to find personnel to work - let alone good personnel.
The prices clearly are not worth the quality of food, which has gone way downhill. Then to add insult to injury, was told that policy is to add 20% tip for parties over 6. I might have left her 15% at most due to the “lack of service” and bad attitude.
I am completely done with this place even though we love coming to Crested Butte. I do not recommend eating here. There are too many other great options in CB to...
Read moreOur first time to CB and, of course, THE place for lunch or apres ski cocktails is Butte 66, right on the main slope, with good food, drink, great views and accessibility. We went on President’s weekend 2025 when it was predictably busy and, our waitress (Mindy - from Toledo) was unbelievably bright, cheerful and accommodating as our two-person table grew to seven and we clearly overstayed our welcome. But, in spite of the chaos, Mindy never stopped smiling. The next day, at the first floor coffee bar, the bar staff was awaiting fresh drip coffee for customers as Thomas was pushing a cart with the first batch of drip - noticed me - stopped and asked me if I wanted one, proceeded to walk back to get an empty cup and poured me one! He wouldn’t remember it but, he was also the guy that randomly stopped to say hello to our table the prior day. No reason, no agenda, just being cool and friendly! These two people are fantastic! In a world of mean and rude people, these two individuals set a positive tone and made our stay incredible! As Abe Lincoln said, “whatever you are, be a good one” and these two humans get it totally and need to be...
Read moreWhen I walked in they were not busy at all and there was no host staff. I chose a table close to the window so I could watch the slopes and see my kiddos come down. I ordered a coffee and had planned to order food when the server came back. I opened my laptop while I waited and was going to check emails when the manager came up and asked me to move to a different table because “they get busy at lunch and usually have a 45 minute wait” No big deal, I was more than happy to move to a smaller table and asked where he would like for me to move. He told me the Treasury Center has WiFi and suggested I go there despite me telling him I was going to order food at their restaurant. It then took an excruciatingly long time to get my check as I stood there mortified because of how extremely rude and embarrassing he was. Needless to say go eat ANYWHERE else there that you can! The pizza place was good and there is a bar/burger place...
