Iron Horse Tap — Restaurant in Crested Butte

Average at best. Ordered the Iron Horse pizza, which has sausage, pepperoni and bacon - lg for $30. Fairly good coverage of pepperoni, although they are the super thin ones. Sausage and bacon is sparse, and only in the center of the pizza. Thin crust, just okay flavor - not worth it.

Service was interesting. They seem to be very concerned about covid, as they've encased the bar in plexiglass, and have signs everywhere about masks. Unfortunately, the employees don't wear gloves, touch everything, and I saw no evidence of frequent handwashing. Additionally, they set up a table in the middle of the dining room with utensils, plates, condiments, napkins, where all the patrons can touch everything they want. And they've announced that patrons must bus their own tables because it's "healthier." Huh? How does it make it healthy to keep employees from bussing tables?

It s not fun to writer a bad review. After an incredible day of POW skiing we went to the Iron Horse Tap Room and our server was awful. I directly asked her if skiers were accepted customers, if not we would be happy to leave. because her attitude was rude and unwelcoming. It was unfortunate because the place seemed alright. It has a nicer view of the peak limited selection on beers. It is not suitable for skiers. Floors are extremely slippery and their is not great place for your jackets. I don't want to judge this place but it seems to be built and only accommodating for the guest staying there not ski attire. Customer service was abysmal. Once you walk in you are left wondering if it’s seat yourself or wait to be seated. Luckily another customer notified us that you seat yourself. He had unfortunately waited for a long time before learning this himself. The old guy at the front was extremely rude. Refer to many other posts or experience this yourself if you dare. We waited an hour and a half for our food. Then after we ate our pizza, our appetizer came out 30 minutes later. No apology from staff. In fact, we actually heard a waitress, who was carrying a load of dishes, tell another customer that she didn’t work there. Don’t buy into the good reviews. Cook your own food and...
