The pizza was awesome!! This was first time here and we will definitely be back- we just need to figure out how we will be going… (described in more detail below) Tables- The wait time was around 20 minutes which wasn’t a problem. The couple who checked in, in front of us was offered a seat in the ‘smaller’ tables right by the front door on the right side as an option and they accepted to sit there. There were no other tables so we waited, no problem. When our name was called, we were sat in that same area anyways without being asked if it was alright which seemed fine; we weren’t sure why the hostess asked that couple if that table area was alright.. we thought it was just another regular table area. The only thing I came to find was that the tables are horribly uncomfortable. It’s like the area was built for a ‘waiting area’ and turned into these super short and tiny tables. They are really short so for my partner and I each being over 6 feet tall, it was miserable by the time we left. My back was seated to the entry area and I felt like we had no privacy at all with our meal. There were people waiting for tables standing right next to me to the left and others leaning against the back of the booth I was sitting in; so constantly we could hear what was going on at the hostess station or have children looking at us while we sat there with each other. Food- the food was delicious. Some of the best pizza we have had lately and very well priced. We also had an order of the wings, which were also very good but seemed to be overpriced. I think it was $13 or $14 for six wings so at over $2 a wing I would expect them to be outstanding. They were good, just nothing special. The wings took about 30 minutes and the pizza took another hour at least. We arrived around 5:10, waited about 15 minutes for a table and didn’t get our food until about 6:50. We knew they were busy so the food would take awhile but by the time it found its way to our table, was very long. The waitress apologized for the long delay and she was awesome. These are the reasons I said we would need to strategically think about when we would be back.. they don’t take reservations so it seems either we order take out or try to get there way before 5pm to get a ‘regular’ table and faster service. I heard them shut off the take out service when people were calling in (sitting right by the hostess stand) so maybe ordering very early take out is the best option for this place. Overall, really great food. They did seem really disorganized when we got there so maybe consider ordering early take out as the best option.

Update: I left a message on the website letting the managers/ owners know how this experience was, a kind manager called me a few days later offering an apology, stating this was a good training opportunity them, and then offered me a gift card to return, he also stated once I requested my change the employee should have given me the dollar back since they don’t technically have ‘coins’. As far as the portion, he states they ‘probably’ gave me the ‘side’ salad not realizing I had ordered the full portion, not sure I agree with that since the price was a full price and the person talking the order obviously charged me the full price, so that I’m not sure I agree with. I do appreciate the personal call, and trying to make it right. About a week later I did receive the gift card, with a note, this was very kind, I’m not looking for anything feee, but it was nice knowing they value (all) reviews and want to make things right. WARNING… when paying cash- they don’t give you, your change!! went in for a Togo order, very disappointed when I wanted to pay in cash and the gal at the front said I couldn’t have my change - she said they ‘round up’ when paying cash, so I took my cash back and paid with a card, I’ve had places charge for cards because they need to pay for the machine- I get that. Now this isn’t anywhere on the website and is quiet assign to take money in this day and age- prices are already outrageous ! I ordered a salad to go - paid 12.60 and the portion was reduced, by 1/2! I’ve had their salads before and honestly they are the best! I’ve eaten in and I’ve had Togo before, but this time was so disappointing. I get prices are up, but to take 1/2 out! I honestly stopped in a couple weeks ago and had a nice size salad to take home, when I dined in, it’s a great portion, actually could feed 2. So having this for the price was RIDICULOUS! I will not order out from here again, and need to think twice about going in again.

Gorgeous space with ok food, good beer, and not so good service. We were 2 people, both had 2 beers, shared a 14” pizza (very filling) and a dessert. Ordered a pizza with “candied bacon”. The bacon was not cooked to a hard or crisp texture instead it was left very fatty and grisly which gave it a gross mouth feel. It still tasted good but I couldn’t get past the mushy texture so I picked it off. Had also asked for pineapple added to half of the pizza and was disappointed to see that it was actually canned pineapple. (Yuck) Bill with tip was 75$. Prob would have felt ok about it with better service. We came on a random Tuesday afternoon, it was dead, got seated and given water and then nothing for almost 20 min. Waitress came back and was very apologetic, took our orders, and then we never saw her again, somehow the bartender ended up becoming our server. He was very attentive, it was just kind of an odd experience all the way around, and not a great one for a 75$ lunch. Clearly you’re paying for the stylish space they have created and that’s cool if that’s your thing, maybe trying to impress a date? Idk.. but if you just want good food and beer in an unpretentious pub/taphouse you can do a lot better for less at many many other places in Denver.

I went to Homegrown with my BF yesterday after an afternoon of sledding for a casual pizza and beer. It was better than I expected! We had seen the restaurant before it opened, saw two yurts and a fire pit and we knew we would have to check it out soon, not even knowing it hadn't opened yet and that this last weekend was their grand opening!

When we arrived we were greeted promptly and taken to a two top booth/chair, both seats were comfortable! They have a cute little gonolda in the back with a table too that sits about 4 inside which looked like a fun spot to check out next time. They had a drink and food menu and you could QR code to see more drink options too. We had the pepperoni rolls and the Pigs and Pears pizza which both exceeded our expectations. The ranch and marinara sauces are both house made YUM. And pizza was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. Unfortunately right now the desserts are not house made but our waitress Sammie said the chef is planning for them to be house made soon.

All the staff worked together so soon, there wasn't a moment we were without. Our order was placed on a handheld device and sent directly to the bar and kitchen, so our drinks came out almost immediately after ordering, and our food shortly after that! Sammie was just a great waitress.

Also for families (or adults who act like children ;)) there are arcade games that are free to use!

I'm very excited to go back sometime soon esp this spring so I can enjoy the outdoor seating around the fire pit. Or even have a friend/family gathering and reserve one of the outdoor yurts!

Don't listen to any of the bad reviews so far, they can all be attributed to things that make sense for the first weekend of a business being open. The staff are ALL new and none are from a different homegrown so they are finding their own groove in some areas, and a few of the beers were out JUST because it was their opening weekend and you don't know what to order until you have service to know what sells most. So please keep that in mind, because they are doing an...
