Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Four Corners States

Food is usually edible. I usually don't think it's worth leaving a review for a fast food restaurants because the bar is pretty much set no matter where you go.

My visit tonight though was horrible. I couldn't understand the order taker and her voice sounded very annoyed that I had the audacity to ask a question. I sat there for what felt like 15 minutes. The car hop was cheerful (he was worth +1 star)when he brought my food out and apologized that we were missing something. I waited and realized I was missing a whole meal, so I hit the button again (was greeted by the oh, so cheery lady) by the time she answered, the guy was already back with my missing tots. I told him I was also missing a burger and he said he'd put the order in. I waited another 10/15 minutes and nothing. So I hit the button again. Again with the cheer. "oh, I'll make it now". 5 seconds later some one came out with a bag, presumably with my burger. I took it from him and left. Having sat there with the food I already had, which is now cold.

I get home, and the burger i got, is cold and NOT EVEN the burger i ordered!!! (Thanks for the double?) Sure I rushed out of there, but you basically just sent the guy out with whatever was waiting to get me out of there!

I didn't even want the burger anymore. I threw most of the meal away. I also ordered Onion rings which were gross (and of course cold) Jokes on me, I guess. Sonic...

Spent 20 minutes in the drive thru and still ended up with the complete wrong order. Would have gotten a refund or traded it but had to be back to work because it took so long. Pretty disgraceful as this location never has issues...[edit] whoever makes the food seriously has to read. Why do I get the same wrong order all the time. THIS IS STILL A MASSIVE ISSUE. it doesn't matter if I'm in the drive thru, order kiosk, or doordash. ITS ALWAYS WRONG. looks like I have to drive to Santa fe if I ever want sonic again because this location is terribly inconsistent. The only reason this place is still open is because high school kids and car junkies have nowhere else to hangout

Decided to try once again months later after the remodel and still got the wrong order due to a language barrier. This is well over the 10th time I've had this same mistake and I don't know how to get the point across. I shouldn't have to check the bag and wait another couple minutes for the correct order every time I go. Sonic is a complete joke at this point...or at least...

Because of its remote location, this Sonic has to go across the street to the ranch to cultivate their own beef for burgers. I've seen staff chasing a milk cow from time to time to make cheese. They filter water direct from Waterton Canyon, and start the freezing process to make ice for your drinks right when you order ensuring the best ice in Roxborough. In the back, you can observe staff with hammers crushing each candy bar for your sonic blast. The soft serve machine is set on extra rich and creamy, slowly dispensing ice cream in the perfect pattern for those candy pieces. Being in the middle of nowhere brings with it a lack of bank access, so unless you want a fist full of nickels in change back it will do you well to have exact change. It's a throw back to the old car dining experience, so bring a friend, order your food, put on some tunes, have an interesting conversation with your 7 year old "Dad, why do they call it Sonic?
