12/5/21 update: went back tonight to try again - place absolutey reeked of sewage. There were a handful of people in there, and the bar staff had no problem asking us if we wanted to order food. My friend had a beer, I had a soda, but as smell is directly linked to taste, I stopped after a sip and left after my friend gulped his beer. Spent our food money watching the Bronco game at Buffalo Wild Wings

I have a rule that I will sleep on it before I write a negative review, and unfortunately this warrants one.

I went last night with a friend to try it out and watch a soccer match. We chose a high top by the Men's room so as not to impact anyone else watching other more popular sports.

Let me say before we go any further that the food was excellent. However, they were short staffed... but you wouldn't know it from the customers. There were two parties at the bar, and myself and my friend 2 steps out of the bar. There were two parties on the patio.

However, a staff member (might have been a waitress?) sat at the bar and the bartender carried on an audible conversation about how _ didn't show up this afternoon, so now everyone (both) is swamped and it makes it so difficult on everyone else... Meanwhile, no lift of the head after our initial order to ask if we're good or if we wanted to order more (we did, and eventually waved her down)

Once again, my friend and I split Tot-chos (Excellent), Friend had wings (Excellent) and I saw sliders were on special for $2.20 each (min of 3). I was told they come with a side, and I apologized for not seeing the sides on the menu, and I asked what they had. I was told they had Fries, tots, onion rings and salad.

When the bill came, my charge for the sliders and Salad was 9.60. Truly - a very reasonable price, and less than the 3.75 each normally charged... but the math didn't add up. When I asked, I was told there was an upcharge for a salad.

Again, very reasonable, but I would have preferred it would have been mentioned when I was ordering.

I'm not so upset with my experience that I won't try them again, it seems like a great spot, and with all sympathies to being short staffed, but my first impression leaves a little bit...

New owner. He cares and is trying hard. He made a wing sampler for me... NOT ON THE MENU! I appreciate that. I do hope they will bring the old recipe back on the wings and the muscles with garlic knots. Give them a shot. It's a watering hole with good sports tvs and play areas as well as better than average bar food...

FAST FORWARD I'm back in Denver again I decided to go for a beer n a bite last night. New look and a lot of work has been done from the outdoor signage to the counters to moving the pool tables into the old restaurant area. It looks great. I don't know how this will do vs. the previous setup, but I appreciate the thought, time, money, and commitment to the location.

I'M SORRY BUT I HAVE WARN YOU THAT UNFORTUNATELY I GOT FOOD POISONING FROM THE FRIED CHICKEN, MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY.

I would not have left this review if I wasn't throwing up at 4 in the morning and now dealing with a second set of that experience at 6:30 in the morning. I haven't had food poisoning in many years but you can always tell by the way you feel really bloated and your stomach muscles become extremely tight. And now the third phase is the toilet so as I am on the ivory throne I am writing this review. Now more than anything I want this review to be constructive because I do think the new ownership and direction of Off-Broadway is working. The cooking staff has to remind themselves to do a excellent job does rinsing the chicken and washing their hands between tasks. This doesn't cause me not to want to have a beer and enjoy their facility the only thing that I will be very guarded on in is if I eat there again or not unfortunately. The service is still on point I only downgraded my review because of the reality of last night. But the girls are doing a great job in there and taking care of everybody.
