Let me start by saying we have been loyal customers of your restaurant for at least 10 years. It has always been a meeting spot for family and friends traveling from Parker, Lafayette, and the downtown area. This morning, Sunday September 17 at 11:20 am my husband and I arrived to meet 4 others for lunch at 11:30 and to get a to go order to take to my sons place of work. Upon our 11:20 arrival we said there would be a party of 6. We were told that we would have to wait till our entire party arrived to be seated The restaurant was EMPTY. There was only one table of 4 that was occupied in the restaurant at that time. My husband and I wanted to have a drink and few minutes to ourselves prior to others arriving. Seeing an EMPTY restaurant we didn’t think this was an unreasonable request. So we said we would take a table for 2 and move when the others arrived. We were informed by the very rude waitress after ordering a drink and appetizers that we “would not be allowed to move” once the others arrived. That we were “disrespectful” expecting them to clean an extra table. When the other 4 members of our party showed up exactly 10 minutes after we had been seated we took our business down the road. Along with the meals and drinks the 6 of us we were planning on spending We also took a $400 to go order to an establishment that didn’t refer to us a disrespectful. I understand the policy if the restaurant was full. But to treat customers with such disrespect in an EMPTY restaurant ultimately cost your establishment approximately $650 as well as the 20% minimum tip we always leave. I hope you take this opportunity to train your staff. Know better. Do better. We have always enjoyed the food and the service at this establishment, but when there are plenty of other options to chose from? We will take out $650 where we are not treated with so much disrespect.

I hope you will review the cameras to verify this incident and identify the incredibly rude waitress that ultimately cost your business the loss of a...

Visited as dine in today. Party of three. Restaurant is a great size but only had about 2-3 other tables with guests. Service was spotty. Food was barely edible. Even tho it's seat yourself, they only had one waitress waiting tables. We waited for about 10 minutes for a drink order as we watched the waitress take others orders even tho they walked in after us. Finally, We ordered our food and continued to wait. About 20 minutes pass and the waitress came back to the table to inform us they had no pork chops to make the plate my grandfather ordered. He ordered different and we continued to wait. Bout 5 minutes later the food came to the table, surprised that my grandfathers new plate was ready and came out the same time. We now had to ask for silverware because the waitress never brought us any to start. Both my grandparents steaks were hard and rubbery. I ordered a taco plate and a small pesole. Pesole was half decent. Was alittle greasy, not alot of pork, and the hominy was mushy and breaking apart. The tacos were gross. I didn't even finish two and it came with three. The hamburger meat was burnt and dry and the filling only filled the middle of the tacos. The rice was dry and overcooked. The corn in the rice looked like rotten teeth. I was fumbling throngh the rice with my fork and I found a small piece of MARIJUANA under the scoop of rice. I then waited and handed it to the waitress and she took it to the other workers. She then came back and tried to tell me it was "cilantro"! I almost asked if she was sure it wasn't "oregano"! I know the difference between food ingredients and Marijuana, come on now. With the cooks in the back rolling a joint on my plate and getting stoned it's no wonder our food was not even dog worthy. No compensation or apology. It's ok because No tip either. 20 years experience, off n on with this restaurant, disappointing it's not a good place to...

I placed an online order through their site the day before we needed them, which I did not know then, but is powered by DoorDash. It was for 25 burritos for our work team. One of our managers went to pick them up at the scheduled time they were supposed to be ready, and the restaurant claimed they never received the order in their system. They could do nothing about it although we had a receipt and order confirmation proof we purchased them. I went through hoops trying to figure out how to cancel and get a refund. Finally, I reached a representative through DoorDash who found the order in their system, saw that it was made, and someone picked it up at 10:15 am. What a joke! I was beside myself that they were telling me this. I confirmed that was not the case and someone needs to make this right. After about 2 hours of going back and forth, finally got an approved refund for over 100 bucks of food. Please, beware of ordering on their online site, they say to call the store, which is crazy ridiculous there are issues with a system they provide for customers online that could potentially go wrong. Shame on the Tamale Kitchen for how they handled this. We will not be going through them for company orders anymore, we will stick...

I've been getting breakfast burritos here for the last month and decided to pre-order over 50 burritos for my staff. I placed the order and specified I needed to pick it up first thing Sunday morning when they open at 8am. I was told this was not a problem, prepaid and kept my receipt. I had a staff member head to pick them up this morning but at 8:15am was told they were still waiting. We have to be out by 8:30am so I called and was told the kitchen opens at 8am, this is when all the staff actually arrive so they didn't know who I talked to but there was no way it would be ready at 8am. I canceled the order but was told they had no idea how to issue the refund, they could only give me burritos. I went in person, this time was told it was a sister who took the order and she had told me it would be ready at 8:30am. I have my receipt on which SHE wrote "Pickup @ 8am" but they still dispute my claim? I was told again they could not run a refund, that the owners are out of town and they would not bother them for me. So basically, they took my money, have no way to get it back to me and I have no burritos.

A traditional lunch with traditional Mexican-American dishes. Enchiladas smothered in melted cheese and red sauce, a crispy chile relleno, traditional tacos in the hard shell, rice with kernels of corn and other interesting bits and pieces, thick refried beans, corn chips and red salsa. There was one item with a difference - Mexican egg rolls! They were quite good, crunchy and also chewy, served with a small side of tasty green chile. I would like to go back soon just to try them again. On a Sunday afternoon, the place was moderately busy, but the two young women working the dining room were attentive and cheerful.

My bill for one person was nearly $18 for lunch. That's fine but for the price I could eat anywhere. Somewhere with comfortable seats and a pleasant atmosphere. I asked if they served chips and salsa with the meal. The waitress said yes but you have to ask for them as she handed me my meal. The best part about a Mexican restaurant is snacking on chips while you wait for you meal. I had to go to the counter to get a drink refill and napkins. The food looked great but lacked flavor. I won't go there any more. For the price I can eat anywhere.
