Gomez Burritos — Restaurant in Colorado

This place used to be the bomb, not sure what happened. Went in and ordered a #3 mild and a #4 hot with 1/2 dozen tamales. The lady at the register who was obviously in a bad mood said that they discontinued selling tamales. It is clearly offered on their menu board with nothing stating they aren't. All they have to do is put a piece of tape over them or paper or a note at the register, nothing. Needless to say everybody behind me kept asking for tamales as well with the same response. Instead I asked for 6 beef tacos. After waiting for some time and watching people that ordered after me get their food before me she comes up and says we don't have any lettuce for tacos. Is that OK? I looked at her and I said it's not like I have a choice it's a little late. Same thing, everybody behind me also wanted tacos and she explained to everybody that there was no lettuce. She then proceeds to give the orders to the kitchen and States I've told them that there isn't any lettuce so it's not my problem. That she was at the end of her shift and she didn't care. I finally get my food and I take it home and the tacos were into containers with a puddle of grease at the bottom of each one making the tacos soggy. Literally like an 1/8 inch deep. They switched the bacon and steak burrito's labeling the 3 as a 4 and the 4 as a 3. Both were dry with almost no chili and basically just a bunch of mush. Again, hard to tell if there was even chili inside. I won't be back. Sucks because I used to love...

FIRST OF ALL THE MANAGER IS NEVER AVAILABLE TO TALK TO OR HE JUST DOES NOT LIKE TO TAKE THE TIME TO CALL HIS CUSTOMERS BACK. I HAVE ORDERED TWICE FROM THEM TO DO CATERING FOR AN EVENT. THE FIRST TIME THE MEAT WAS RAW IN THE MIDDLE, BUT I DECIDED TO GIVE THEM A 2ND CHANCE. WELL GUESS WHAT! I ORDERED THE SAME THING AND IT WAS RAW AGAIN. SO I CALLED A COUPLE DAYS LATER TO TALK TO THE OWNER AND HIS RESPONSE WAS “ YOU ARE JUST NOW CALLING”, NO I AM SORRY ABOUT THAT, HOW CAN I MAKE IT UP TO YOU, NOTHING. BY JUST HAVING THAT SHORT CONVERSATION WITH HIM, CLEARLY HE IS NOT WELL EDUCATED OR READY TO DEAL WITH ANY CUSTOMER REALATION ISSUES. I WILL NOT GO BACK AGAIN AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT MY THOUGHTS ON HIS BUSINESS.

BOTH LOCATIONS ARE DIRTY AND RESTROOMS ARE AWFUL.

I ALSO WANTED TO MENTION THAT HIS STAFF IS RUDE AND TREATS HIS CUSTOMERS LIKE THEY ARE DOING US A FAVOR. SORRY NOT GOOD FOR BUISNESS TO HIRE PEOPLE WHO JUST GOT OUT OF JAIL OR ARE IN A HALF-WAY HOUSE, OR PEOPLE WHO JUST DON’T CARE...

Clean restaurant, good practice on social distancing,. They are located in an industrial area, with a smaller parking area, and only open for breakfast and lunch. Decent variety of choices on their menu, with a very helpful and friendly staff to help you if you have any questions, which I did. The burritos were absolutely amazing! I bought multiple burritos, in 4 different filling combinations , at different spicy levels, and they were all delicious. I ordered the Super burritos, and they were very substantial with plenty of fillings, and easy to share, but you probably won't want to! We loved their chili, very flavorful, and the spicier ones had the kick at the end. It put their burritos over the top!

I also ordered a small french fries. They were deliciously hot, and had a good flavor to them. We will definitely keep returning to this wonderful little restaurant...
