Here is an edit of my review. The owner responded and said most of the drinks are $3 and the ice cream is $5. My son drank Water and as I mentioned, we did not get ice cream. So I should have been charged $12 for my sons Mac and cheese however I was charged $20 for Mac n cheese I did not get a drink or ice cream so I was basically ripped off according to the owner. I have my receipt as proof.

The food here was good but it wasn’t out of this world amazing. The fact that the kids menu is $20 for your choice of Mac n cheese, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and fries, pasta with marinara sauce & 2 other kids pasta dishes was out of this world. If I wasn’t with a group of people I would have left after seeing that menu especially for the kids. Never in my life have I seen a kids menu cost $20 for American food. They didn’t even have “Mexican” food as an option in the kids menus. In addition to the kids menu being ridiculously overpriced it said it comes with kids ice cream and we did not get it. I was so ready to go that I did not even ask for it but the serves did not even attempt to ask if we wanted the kids ice cream. The rice with veggies and black beans that is served with some dishes was horrible. It had no taste. Overall, I personally would not come back here. Truly delicious food that hits all the spots whether you are looking for something with more of a Mexican flare or something that feels a bit more like a Spanish or Portuguese dish. Food is well spiced (not bland) and plentiful. Their seafood options are fresh (and they don’t skimp on the portions; Mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops—oh my!). Did I mention the food is plentiful? As you sit down you are greeted with a basket of delicious tortilla chips and fresh salsa (absolutely delish) and prepare yourself for the bread and simple yet well dressed salad that will come with your meal. Don’t forget to save room for your entree, likely guaranteed to give you a second meal with leftovers and make you question whether or not you should try to eat more because it’s so good (and you don’t want to stop!). The sides are perfect and enough to share (those potatoes—-I could make an entire meal with just the potatoes!). Finally, the service. The service is outstanding! Need a recommendation? True Authentic Fresh Homemade Spanish / Mexican food . Their food is absolutely delicious, they’re better than any Mexican spot in the BORO PERIOD ! Their food is so fresh and tasteful any dish or app can’t go wrong the desserts were homemade also . If you enjoy homemade fresh food made with love go to La Candella .
