The Bagel Store — Restaurant in Colts Neck Township

Came in looking to take my daughter on a random Thursday morning (today) for bagels before we went to the park. I was going to order a plain bagel with Cream Cheese and my daughter was going to get an Egg Bagel with Cream Cheese and a coffee they tried telling me it was going to be 18 dollars. That is the most ridiculous prices I ever seen in my life. Go the other direction into freehold and get the same bagel for 3.50 or what’s even crazier do yourself this favor like we did and go over to colts neck Eatery in the same parking lot and get the 2 egg platter with pancakes or toast and home fries for 7 dollars. I much rather have a full meal like we did then go to this bagel store and have 2 bales and a coffee for a ridiculously expensive price. $5 for a cream cheese bagel, $4 dollar for a butter bagel. I ordered 3 bagels. they messed up a 3 bagel order and put the Cream Cheese on the wrong bagel and the butter on the wrong bagel. My son is allergic to cream cheese, and had an allergic reaction. I call them up to tell them this, shes telling me its an accident. It's not accident, im paying $5 for a bagel with creamcheese and a bagel with a butter that cost you guys $1, at least with a $3 to $4 markup, make the correct order. Ok, so... This place has VERY good bagels, they are reasonably priced and location is great. However, the service is lacking. Called 15 min ahead (like I do EVERYWHERE I go). I get there, pay and I'm told it will be one minute... No biggie right? Only I wait 5 minutes and in the end my COLD B,E,C was sitting open in an open bag behind the register. Also, the person on the grill is running the register. That's gotta be a sanitary NO, NO. This place is just good when it can be GREAT if the service to the customer can be streamlined better and in a more organized fashion. Don't believe me?
