As I pulled up to the pay window arriving at the Southside Dunkin, I was greeted by a very large person's belly button on the other side. (The cashier was not dressed in a way that was food safe or appropriate to serve customers.) I waited and watched at the window for a minute while the cashier jib-jabbed with her coworker, her dirty belly button staring at me the whole time, until finally, she opened the window and allowed me to pay for the drink sitting at her side.
After pulling away, presuming to be victorious, I tasted the drink and it was horrid! It was an iced mocha latte without the latte! All ice, coffee, and syrup, without the creamer to cut.
I went inside after tasting it, hoping for a good outcome, but The Belly Button Cashier acted put out when I said my drink was incorrect. She didn't ask the problem, just huffed, took it, and added more coffee before handing it back. (Not the problem.) I told her my drink was missing cream, and she looked at me flabbergasted. What was she to do?!?
She did the right thing and asked for help! She asked the manager over their intercom walkie headsets how to correct it! Her manager, who was sitting with (I assume) their family in the dining area 20 feet away, responded over the walkie while pointing in a general direction. (She couldn't be bothered with walking to her employee.) I then watch the half dressed cashier (clothes only half fit) pour out almost all the ice and some coffee, messily add creamer, and then hand the drink back like it was the product I requested and for which I had already paid. She handed me a dripping from the bottom cup of lukewarm milk and coffee with a straw.
I was frustrated. I told the manager that her employee doesn't know what she's doing. I threw away my drink in front of her, did NOT ask for a refund, and left. I visit both locations regularly and this will cause me to consider...
Read moreI used to come to this Dunkin all the time and it was great. But now, all the staff is different and there are serious problems. Sometimes they forget to change the syrups out, so your drink comes out bitter or flavorless. In the past week I've wasted at least $20 on drinks that were made incorrectly and were not drinkable. Just recently I ordered a frozen drink. The guy making the drink stared in confusion at the blending machine, which didn't even have ice in it. So when he finally made an attempt to make my drink, it just blended the liquid together. He tried to say that's how it's made...but no, you can't make a frozen drink with zero ice. They also have problems with running out of supplies so that half the stuff on the menu can't even be ordered. Want a frozen mocha coffee? Well they might be out of both the mocha syrup, and the coffee flavoring. Try a lemonade instead...they didn't make any that day. Sweet tea? No, out of that too. There are also problems with hygiene. I watched someone gathering the trash up, then went on to make my drink without washing his hands or even changing his gloves. This place is a mess. I do not recommend. Nearly everyone needs to be trained again, though I've not gotten the impression that...
Read moreI stop here frequently. It's almost always the same guy at the window. After literally every single item its 'ok is that all??' it just comes off rude and very very rushed. He isn't mean or anything its just not enjoyable service.
My much bigger problem is a lack of quality control. The food is always good. Occasionally the doughnuts are a bit stale. But the COFFEE IS EXTREMELY INCONSISTENT. I almost always get the exact same thing. I've even gotten two of the exact same one at the same time and they will be entirely different. But today was the second time in a row it was just AWFUL. Today I took one drink and trashed it. It was simultaneously way too much syrup to it being sickly and yet still very bitter. And I know it's not just me with the same issue. I've heard the same thing from several people. I give up on attempting coffee here. Just drive the 2 blocks to Scooters or 7Brew. Both have leagues better coffee. Save...
