Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken — Restaurant in Columbia Township

First off I am a fried chicken snob. As a former chef I tend to nitpick my favorite foods. However yesterday we grabbed some gizzards and original dark meat box take out. I had never heard of or been to this place. However we were not disappointed at all. From the first bite to the leftovers the spice was just right, the chicken we in my opinion perfect. Only downside was we should have ordered more. Poor wife only got two pieces because I went crazy on it. I could not stop munching it. The gravy was delicious. The one thing I can say negative was the mash potatoes. They were great but then again I doctor mine up when I make it so that can’t be a negative because it was good. The other downside is we live 2 hours away but road...

Wow. .can't wait for order to arrive after reading all reviews...first timer..so we shall see..5 stars so far as they seem friendly calling to double check on my order.....well dang..so sad..spent 43 bucks just got food..its good but had a large side..mashed potatos and gravy that they forgot....what's fried chicken without my beloved mashed potatos....they should have checked order before it left and so should grubhub....did find out...If this happens...you notify. grubhub..which I havent yet..but...Lee's chicken has to refund all 43.45 back to grubhub...not sure thats fair...grub hub driver who was pre tipped...didnt do his job by not checking order...oh well... live and learn..but no mashed potatoes tonight...and sorry lees..popeyes...

Order a 16 piece meal and a 20 piece of tenders with a couple extra small sides and biscuits. Waited maybe 5 minutes. This was at~7:40 p.m. and was also given a goodie bag with every thing needed-“butter” packets, jelly, dipping sauces, napkins, etc. Everything was hot and seemed fresh. Everything also tasted great. I forget to check my bags and when I got home I realized we were missing a large side. I called and the woman that answered immediately knew who I was and was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make it right, so no hard feelings here. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s how you handle them that matters....
