First off- mattress shopping is way more stressful than I had ever imagined. Denver mattress has rules that the sales people have to follow making seem like youâve got two chances to get it right- which is incredibly tough. After several mattress exchanges through other vendors my partner and I were absolutely done mattress shopping- but still didnât have the right fit and my partner had been sleeping on the couch to avoid back pain and discomfort.
Knowing I couldnât exchange my mattress or get a refund I went in to give it a go anyway. I happened to go on a day that was already proving to be really rough for me, so I KNOW I wasnât the easiest person to work with. I spoke with Sarah P. and things were just extremely gloomy. After a rough start I honestly can say I left wanting to hang out with her.
She was AMAZING. No other sales person sat down and asked me questions about how I sleep and my preferences and how different parts of the mattresses I previously tried felt. It was everything I could hope for in a mattress shopping experience. She was so knowledgeable about the different styles and brands of mattresses and recommended and explained (in a way I could actually understand) what might suit me. I felt like she was a mattress scientist.
All in all- mattress shopping is overwhelming and a whole world of knowledge I was unprepared for. After a terrible day, being completely OVER mattress shopping, several sales employees and several companies later, Sarah was a light at the end of the never ending tunnel. I havenât tried the newer mattress she suggested yet (it is scheduled for delivery), but am so excited to try it with open expectations because of my experience with her.

   Read more2021 well I decided to give Denver Mattress another shot since they made good with my last issue. On March 10th I purchased a Purple mattress. To uphold the warranty you are required to get the mattress pad. Which I did and the special they had at time you get sheet set and purple pillow. Well as of today well over a month later I still donât have my mattress pad or pillow. I am fine not getting the pillow yet, but I am concerned that because I donât have the mattress pad protector that my warranty on the mattress will be no good. I have 2 mattress protectors that I purchased elsewhere on it as protection but I am sure if something happens to my mattress I will get the excuse that I wasnât using the required one from them and it voids the warranty. As a warning to other buyers donât pick up or have mattress delivered unless everything is in because you may never get the rest of your order and your warranty could be voided. I am really disappointed once again. Starting to see a pattern not sure I am willing to do another purchase 2 issues out of 2 orders isnât very good odds.
Buyer beware. In 2016 I bought 2 twin xl mattresses and adjustable bed frames. The mattresses moved around some. I didn't think much about it. This year I finally had enough and decided to measure them. Come to find out I was charged for XL mattresses but received regular size twins. If you buy make sure you measure. She listened to our concerns and was very honest in her responses. We were looking for transparency not a used car salesman only trying to get us to buy something. We felt comfortable and like we had a friend in the mattress world we could trust. Hoping the mattress we just ordered comes in soon because we just donated our old mattress before checking on ship dates! Hoping for a good nights sleep again once it gets here. This was our third stop in mattress shopping. Good experience.
Following up a week later. Still no mattress. I can't help but think about when I was told the less expensive $1,500 or so mattress was on backorder but there was no mention of the $2,800 mattress being on backorder. When I called back the next day to order, I was told 2-3 weeks. When I called in a week later to check to see if it had shipped yet, a different store representative told me it could be 4 weeks.
