One Good Morning.
Walked in about 9:30am. Two young hunnies sittin outside enjoying some sunshine and a croissant take turns peakin’ as I pull up in the vert. I casually shoot em both a wink as I open the glass door; I’ve got two eyes and plenty of time ladies, no need to rush.
As I enter the foyer, not the dining room, a smell of warm wheat wafts over me, gently tickling the narrowest hairs of my loins. I ask the curvy, done-up babe behind the counter for suggestions. What happens next can only be described as a culinary deposition....followed by a miracle.
An exploration of my inner most hungers and thirsts produced a chaotic mess of preferences. However, the bodacious blonde, inspiring the hand of the green but industrious young lad Connor (whomst could not have seen more than 17 winters), was able to produce such a magnificent physical manifestation of my ideal meal that I hesitated to believe it was real. If that wasn’t enough, the dynamic duo manning the till not only provided a free sample of a tasty treat, but also enticed a first time customer to procure a totally worth-the-money dessert morsel, for breakfast.
At this point I’m walking out smiling, while a pair of wolves are fighting over the carcass of a dead caribou inside my stomach. I walk, dazed by hunger, past the pair of cuties on the patio. I flash a shy smile. They smile despite themselves. No need to rush, we’ve got all the time in the world. My experience from then on is a blurry, sweaty mix of chewing, humming, and stifling the engorgement of my corpus spongiosum.
A well staffed cafe and a sharply dressed and well trained staff do a lot for the morning experience. The food is basically secondary to the people you employ (and coffee) if you want to continue to earn repeat customers imho. (Some embellishment added) Shout out to Connor, kid...
Read moreFor what it is- an eatery- it is good. Expect everything bagel-ish; that is, the humble bagel is the center of the menu, the focus of the store theme and its many variations . Pleasant surroundings add to your enjoyment in asmuchas, the settings bring to the fore some form of this exceptional experience that are not always present or available at other establishments..an opportunity often missed by some eatery offerings. Walking through you shall find a close and narrowing entrance( especially when it is busy), though the table area opens to a much larger foyer, with a feel that gives the impression of quaint and downhome. Service has become- at too many retail spots- a question mark; at least until you get there. When busy, anticipate a move it along style- not a favorite trait not has taken over again, too many places. Cold sandwiches sport a cold bagel. If a warm option is desired, than a request for that should follow your order. Not cheap; though, a good...
Read moreI recently visited B&B Bagel Company on the south side of Columbia, Missouri, and it was truly an amazing experience. The staff's friendly demeanor, coupled with their bright smiles, set a positive tone right from the start. The bagels, a true highlight, never fail to impress.
I opted for the Santa Fe sandwich with sausage and jalapeño cream cheese on a honey wheat bagel – a delightful combination of flavors. The extensive menu offers a variety of tempting options to suit different preferences.
