Fried oysters poyboy. The oysters were large an fried nice. Zero flavour, you have to season your badder/ flower. shrimp etouffee horrible, very starchy. The chef must be adding a hot thickening agent to hot liquid with zero solifid fat. The rice was starchy as well. Starch on a starch without flavour. Red beans an rice had good texture. Sadly zero flavour not even salt an pepper. Fried roll was good an the cornbread was okay. I am sure the mash potatoes were instant an the gravey. Flower an water with no flavor. Even a brown gravy can use a little chicken nor beef stock. Even a bone brother gravy is better then just flower an water. The bread pudding was sad. The texture was over gelatinous with a sugar glaze. They could have used artificial flavoring such as vanilla, rum, brandy, or banana at least. The only thing of note was the gumbo. The flavour was okay a 6 out of 10. The roux was on the light side. They used shrimp, okara, cheap sausage it seems. The staff was super friendly even the cook but we learned they were Yankees after we ate lol. Being home grown from New Orleans, I always like to try places that claim to be real Cajun food so far 95 percent Of the places are disappointing. This was one of them with a 55 dollar ticket. The food portions were good sizes they just had zero seasoning. Would I return no, would I recommend it to others in their current state .If they fix all the issues I might try...

Twice i've went in and ordered gumbo. I've had to wait over 10 minutes both times. I saw people come in and order fish plates, onion rings and so forth, all of which had 2b cooked b4 they got it.And they received their orders, while i'm still sitting there waiting for gumbo. Right when i'm about to say something, then they say my orders ready. Come on now, HOW long does it take to dip something from a big pot into a to go bowl? Or did they have to go catch,clean and cook the items for my order? 😄 Outside of that, i have no complaints with them. Just dont be expecting to eat right away if you order...

Service was ok. Owners argued about boxes right there in front of everyone I ordered their "hot and spicy wings" they were southern style wings with no sauce at all. When I asked the cashier if they were supposed to have buffalo sauce on them or something she said "no the flavor is in the batter" it tasted like they seasoned with just salt. She offered absolutely no resolution and I didn't eat any of them. The female owner was so annoyed about other things already I refused to ask for anything to replace them all in all not a good...
