My wife and I moved to the area just over a year ago so we haven't been out to many restaurants locally. Today though happened to be my birthday so my wife booked us a table at Braza Do Sul. From the literal second that we walked through the door, the staff, from the receptionist to the ALL of the servers, bussers, managers, etc., were all SO completely nice, sweet and wonderful!!! Our server Talia graciously welcomed us to our table, explained the processes and got us going toward such a wonderful dining experience that it's difficult to remember if we've ever had better! The huge salad bar stocked with plenty of veggie items, fruits, cheeses, hot dishes, shrimp, sushi, you name it got us going before we indulged in probably every variety of meat that they offered. Sirloin, filet mignon, salmon, leg of lamb, chicken, ribs, garlic beef, and more I know I'm forgetting. And as wonderful as all of the food was, the staff was even more so. EVERYONE that passed by or stopped at our table did so with a huge smile, pleasant demeanor and authentic desire to show each and every guest in the restaurant the best time ever. The folks that we remember by name, again, Talia, Dennis, Maradona, Paulo and Carlton and a dozen or so others that we can't quite recall their names were to the man and woman, amazingly just so nice, authentic, caring, etc., etc., etc.!!! They even gathered after our dinner and sang me Happy Birthday and served my lemon cake with a candle while HAPPY BIRTHDAY was written on my plate in chocolate syrup. The only bad thing about our dining experience is that now, anywhere else that we go is going to almost certainly be a let down compared to the unparalleled kindness, enthusiasm, awesome food and super, super people tonight. The mood was so pleasant that it even rubbed off on many of the guest, as one table would be talking to another while everyone under the roof was riding a huge invisible wave of kindness and positivity. We just could not have dreamed of having a better birthday/dining/night out experience than we did at Braza Do Sul. Thanks again for having us and we will definitely be back soon...
Read moreIf I could give Paulo more than five stars, I would. This man single-handedly transformed an already enjoyable meal into one of the most memorable nights I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The food was undeniably delicious, with perfectly seasoned meats and sides that left nothing to be desired, but Paulo’s presence was the true highlight of the evening. Every time he approached our table, it was as if the air around us sparkled with energy and humor. We laughed so hard that tears streamed down our faces, and my stomach actually hurt from laughing so much – and that wasn’t from the food!
Paulo’s commitment to making sure we had an unforgettable time was evident in everything he did. Not only was he attentive, always checking in and making sure we had the best cuts of meat, but he brought an energy that was absolutely infectious. He didn’t just bring food to the table; he brought joy, laughter, and a genuine connection that felt so rare in dining experiences today. He anticipated our needs like he could read our minds, and honestly, I think he would have happily fed us himself if we’d asked!
Paulo was meticulous in selecting the best cuts for us, making us trust his every recommendation. Even if I was full, when Paulo suggested a particular piece, I knew it was worth making room for – and he never disappointed. His passion and expertise were on full display, and it was clear he took pride in delivering an extraordinary experience.
I would return to this restaurant a hundred times over just to see Paulo in action. He wasn’t just a server; he was an entertainer, a comedian, and the perfect host all wrapped into one. Dining out should be about more than just the food, and Paulo understands that better than anyone. If you’re lucky enough to be in his presence, prepare for a night of fantastic flavors, endless laughs, and memories that will stick with you long after the last bite. Thank you, Paulo, for an evening we’ll never forget – you are the reason...
Read moreI have to assume that people who like this restaurant are new to churrascaria.
We recently moved to the area and have been spending birthdays at various Brazilian steakhouses since my adult children were little. We generally eat Brazilian steakhouses at least once a month.
The extended menu was appealing to us, so we booked a reservation.
First, I received the wrong drink. When it came back it didn’t taste right, but I wasn’t going to send it back. The bartender was heard complaining about lack of work last night…I would have ordered more had I enjoyed the first one.
Several (at least three) of the offerings on the website were never brought out.
The meats were under-seasoned. When we requested certain meats, they were delayed, so everyone finished eating at different times while others remained waiting.
The pineapple was perfect.
It took over an hour after being seated to receive our bread. Our waitress was MIA so we had to wave over another waitress.
The crème brûlée had a soft, cold top. No crunch at all. The limoncello cake was okay and the cheesecake was good.
We were charged for a large party, but there were only four adults and one child eating, all on the same check. Since when is a party of five a large party?
Also, this was my oversight, but still rankled after the large party charge- but there was a 2.75% charge for not paying cash.!
We waited for over an hour for water refills- one person never received theirs. Of course the lemonades, which we found out later were charged per refill, were kept full.
We waited for the check for quite a while and eventually had to wave over another waitress, again.
My son and I share a birthday, but they only sang to one of us and gave one dessert. We told them multiple times there were two birthdays and I even saw the waitress from the other section try to tell our waitress, and she blatantly...
