Buckle up, this is a long one but honest and true. ||The room was clean "enough." The beds and bathroom appeared clean except for a few stray hairs in the shower. I did buy cleaner and disinfectant to wipe down the desk, counter and microwave area surfaces that had food remnants and dust on them. After cleaning, I generally maintain cleanliness of the room to avoid any possible cross-contamination from housekeeping when I'll be there for a while. ||On day 4 of my stay, without having had the room serviced yet during my stay, on my way in, I stopped at the front desk and asked for a couple washcloths. The room had 3 towels when I arrived and I was going to request service for the next day. The front desk associate asked for my room # and looked it up in the computer. She said I should have fresh linens (they service rooms every 3 days) and I informed her that I should not since I had the privacy sign on the door. ||She went back into the computer tapping away and looking at the screen until I had to ask her if there's a limit on washcloths. She said she'd get me some and continued to engage on the computer. At that point I told her never mind and ended up going to the store to buy washcloths. In passing, on my way to the store, I asked the associate for her name. She provided it, Sherell [sp], and asked me if I wanted her to spell it. I told her no and left. Every day thereafter, I got hostile stares or no greeting and was completely ignored by this staff member. This actually didn't bother me. ||Fast forward a few days. I decided to relocate and requested a late checkout since I needed more time to pack up. I was told by Miss Sherell when I called the front desk, that the hotel was fully booked and so I couldn't get a late checkout. I asked if I was being told that the room that I was in and not scheduled to checkout of for another few weeks had been booked. I was put on hold and then provided with a 1PM checkout. ||Ironically, I checked in the app and could've booked 3 rooms in the hotel for the night. Fast forward to checkout time... I'd passed the front desk and saw Miss Sherell sitting behind it on my way out to put my things in my car, however, when I got back to the front desk to actually checkout, a housekeeping staff member was at the desk instead of Miss Sherell. ||The housekeeping staff offered to check me out because Miss Sherell was in the restroom. Oh, ok. Sure. However, she couldn't check me out. Obviously, not her job. She went off to a little room on the side to let whomever was in there know that she couldn't get me checked out. While I waited some more, someone sent my receipt to the printer at the front. I asked to speak with the manager. I was told the manager wasn't there but the GM was but I should take her card and give her a call later. Uh, ok! ||I called Bonvoy, had a 15 minute phone conversation before the GM emerged from the back, peeking around the corner and asked if I needed something. Whew chile!||I explained my issues. She feigned ignorance re: the washcloth incident. She never apologized or even appeared apologetic- was very dispassionate and aloof. She took a call from a supervisor at Bonvoy while I wrapped up my call with the Bonvoy associate. Didn't look my way after that. I walked out without any acknowledgment of the crappy treatment. ||Sadly, this was a very disrespectful and unprofessional experience- DO NOT RECOMMEND. I should've heeded the warnings in the other reviews but they weren't all bad and you hope that your experience will be better. This hotel may be one of the cheaper options in the area but I honestly only stayed due to that lack of options at the time of booking that were within per diem. The breakfast is horrid- processed foods and sour waffle mix. I tried the breakfast once in 9 days. Not worth it. ||Oh yeah, you know it's bad when the maintenance staff who you talked to the 2nd time he came to your room to unclog the tub tells you to switch rooms or contact the (old) GM and asks you if you're still there when he sees you a couple days later. Huh? ||Yeah, stay...

This place feels more like a Motel 6 than a Marriott. Once I walked into the room I got hit with a unwelcoming odor and I also got bit by bed bugs while asleep. I got woken up at 4:30/5 am due to my body unbearably itching. I spoke to staff and they told me to wait for a manager. The manager, Kendell, who initially pretended to be helpful told me he would comp me 20k points AT THE VERY LEAST and he would push for more. I’ve never encountered bed bugs before so I didn’t know how big a deal this was, but he ensured me that he knew it was a big deal. He says I’ll see those points the same day on my account. These are his words. days go by and I see no points. Come to find, he makes me do all the leg work to follow up. I’m literally calling this guy every day to figure out a suitable solution. I have a HIGHLY demanding job to tend to, but I’m still being made to chase this man to rectify a situation. If I’m the manager and someone has bed bugs I’m calling them not making them chase me and my schedule. Thats not my job. I’m not employed by Marriott. Meanwhile my bites get worse and itchier.
When I finally got a hold of him he essentially tried to gaslight the hell out of me about it. This guy avoided me like the plague and gaslighted me whenever he couldn’t avoid me. he says they searched and couldn’t find the bed bugs. I then sent an email with pictures of my bites on my arm, ankle and back. Only Omitting the pics of bites on my upper thigh as I didn’t think it’d be appropriate. I didn’t get great pics of the bed bugs bc I didn’t want to get close to them, but I got some. Which quite frankly ISNT MY JOB TO DO. I showed him these bites in person and he concurred. They were fresh, new bites that were undeniably bed bug bites. That was confirmed by not only Kendall, but by the morning front desk staff and the breakfast staff when I originally stopped downstairs to complain.
Kendall tried to close the case, but luckily they have a Titanium member customer service number and they have appealed this and sent this case to corporate. Good on Marriott for that, but this property should absolutely be shut down. This is a horrible representation of Marriott. As a titanium member that goes to show just how many Marriotts I’ve seen and this one is BY FAR the worse, nastiest Marriott I’ve...
