Lived at Waters Edge for 5 months and was not a great experience. As we moved in, the process was quick and easy to gain the keys to the apartment. The apartment was not cleaned and we found THC candies left in the cabinets that had not been cleaned out from the prior resident. We were informed that the filters were changes and ready to go, which you can see below was not the case. We had asked for washer/dryer to be in the apartment which were not. Management was helpful in not charging us for them until we received them. However when delivered, they were not hooked up and left leaving us to contact the maintenance staff. We were told it was the delivery companies job to connect them and they were left unconnected for three days until the company arrived and expressed to us "I shouldn't be doing this... the maintenance here should be doing this. " as he half-heartedly connected the systems. In our 5 months there, our HVAC unit went out twice and water heater once. Communication with the main office is easy to access, yet very inconsistent and unreliable for actions. Frequent reminders and requests with delayed or forgot actions. We were contacted and asked if we would be willing to move-out early for a new resident, which we accepted and were happy with. After a month and two weeks prior to our new move-out date, we were contacted and told that the new resident backed out and were TOLD that the early move-out was going to be removed "Sorry about your luck." I had to contact the office and inform them of the inconsiderate nature that this event was handled with. Thankfully, Valerie consistently shows acceptance of responsibility and understanding and upheld the agreement. Valerie and the head maintenance individual are WONDERFUL, sadly other members are not as consistent. My advise, get all agreements in writing. The apartment complex itself is great with the pond walking loop/trails, clean and maintained landscaping, and pool being well-kept. This could be a very nice apartment complex with more consistency and follow-up with...
Read moreThe building itself is nice. Good plan. BUT dont ever think of coming close to waters edge. The "New" manager makes this place the worst place to live. When we came here in Sep, Seth was the manager. He was just awesome. Very polite, responsible, considering, and super helpful and act quick in any problem we faced while moving in. Unfortunately he left in October. The new manager never ever responded to the phone calls, never responded to our email. We had to stop by the office and sometimes there was someone in the office and never got a clear answer! She had no answer to our questions and problems. She never cares about our problems and literally we had to call multiple times and after 2 weeks we might have gotten some answers. We had some problems with neighbors and she never cared to solve it, so we had to leave. After we left in Dec, she sent our security deposit to us so very late and we received it in the middle of March. She also deducted the rent for January which we definitely were not there. So we had to call the office so many times so they accepted to return it to us. And the delay for returning it was not acceptable. It is the worst google review I have ever written, but I think people should know the difference between different management. It is such a huge difference between how Seth kept the complex in a great shape and how she is destroying it by not responding to any problems. Seriously you would never be able to find her. Not with phone or voice messages or email. She will never get...
Read moreThe apartment have poor insulation, not enough storage space, except for the walk-in closets that stay extremely cold in the winter and hot during the summer. The gym is only open from 9-5. The red clay that surrounds the parking is always a mess after the slightest rain. The car wash doesn't even have a hose. The laundry machines are owned by an outside company so if u have problems with them, you call an 800 number who never resolves anything. The pests problem is only getting worse and there is a permanent aroma of moth balls throughout the entire building. According to mgmt, that is a common issue. Waiting for lease to end!!! Since posting this review, management has been able to address a few of my concerns with actual sincerity. We have a hose again in the car wash station. They have an easier to reimburse any lost funds in the laundry room and are looking to update the entire system. My neighbors were asked to limit their use of moth balls; not sure if they complied or if the insulation that my boyfriend installed helped but either way it has improved slightly. The gym door has a new key pad so we can use it any time but the equipment is in terrible condition. Sadly we have to relocate for boyfriends job and I'm not going to find anyone to sublease for the last 3 months of the lease, and they are not even considering...
