If I could have given this place a piece of a star I would have. (Whew, where do I begin) first off I did a drive thru order, don't like the automated system taking the order, just wasn't comfortable because it can't take of something that you order if it tells you the item doesn't have all the ingredients, and you change your mind, Secondly I drove up to the window and sat there for about 5 minutes (I know right, why didn't I pull off, we'll I had to feed my kid because we were on our way to Childrens Hospital for a sleep study) I looked into the window at drive thru and everybody was on their phones, laughing talking and not one time did anybody greet me or asked to take my payment, then finally a feminine male walked up with attitude at 100% and didn't speak or anything but reached for my payment, I gave it to him/her (no disrespect, I'm just not familiar with the different gender identities) and in return was given a receipt, I looked at it and it wasn't right at all. So I told him/her in which he/she said I don't know what you got but can you pull forward so I said just give me my money back and he/she said I don't do those and I can't find a manager (but the whole time was in the window wasn't even looking for one) he/she must have rolled those eyes and that neck 50 times and slammed the window in my face numerous times, I could see if I was being rude but I was never given the chance from the beginning. I can say I absolutely HATE Checkers and will never return because that thing at that window will make somebody lose their religion. Do better Checkers, keep hiring people with that attitude and the business won't...
Read moreNot worth the wait! About a week ago, I went to the Checkers on Two Notch Rd, between O'Neil CT and Parklane Rd. I was at the back of a very long line and was barely inside their lot from Two Notch Rd. I was in the line that veered off to the right to use the drive-up window. This was in the evening around 8PM and it took at least 24 minutes for the line to index forward by one car. As it looked that it was going to be at least that long until it indexed forward another car, I took the opportunity to pass the line on the right and exit via O'Neil Ct by the ATM's.
Yesterday, I decided to give them another try. I remembered checkers as having great food in the mid-1990's when they were here, before. The line was much shorter this time, but again, after about twenty minutes of waiting, the line only indexed forward by one car and that was only because the car in front of me pulled out of line and left via O'Neil Ct. They had apparently grown tired of waiting as the line again, was not moving. Shortly thereafter, I too, again exited via O'Neil Ct.
I don't know why this Checkers is unable to move traffic through its drive-thru, but I will not be visiting for a long time to come, if ever. Somebody at Checkers management might want to consult with Chic-Fil-A or similar businesses regarding keeping a drive-thru line moving. I don't care how good the food might be, I am not going to sit potentially for hours, waiting for my turn at the drive-up board and then to have my...
Read moreIf I could give a Zero star rating I would. After sitting in the drive thru line for an hour and a half I arrived at the drive thru window to get cold food. The first time I tried this place I sat in the mobile order line for 3 hours and received cold food. It seems as if the employees at this restaurant are focused more on the front window rather than having enough employees for all three order options. This restaurant was highly anticipated by the people in Columbia and they have let everyone down with their lack of service. I hope that once the other location on Bush river rd opens up that they learn from the mistakes of the two notch location or they will be closing their doors just as quickly as they opened them. Instead of rushing to open and not being adequately prepared they should take the time to make sure they have hired enough people to meet the demand of the high traffic they are going to receive. Because two notch was not ready and even after being open almost a month now they still are not ready. This is my third time giving Checkers a chance and it has already let me down. I have been sitting in the drive thru line for 45 minutes now and have not moved from the spot I was in when I got in line. And they make sure that you canât get out of line once you are in it because they have the way out blocked off with cones. DO BETTER CHECKERS OR COLUMBIA WILL BE SAYING GOODBYE JUST AS QUICKLY AS...
