haven’t had service this bad from anywhere in a long time. Let me start by saying I was the only customer in the place during my entire interaction. First, while attempting to order I explained I hadn’t eaten there in a while, I asked the young lady at the counter if she had any suggestions. Her reply “I don’t eat bread”. I said that was fine, but could she recommend menu items frequently ordered. Her reply this time “I’m not here to help, I just take the orders”. That should’ve been my que to leave.
So I placed my order. She snatched the card from my hand and aggressively slid the card through the machine as to make a point. Next she began to throw items around the kitchen almost trying to get my attention. She started making my calzone and while doing so she said “can you go sit down”. She said this because I was standing at the counter. I explained to her that I had been sitting all morning and preferred to stand.
I had my work uniform on, I work as a first responder and I’ve been exhausted due to Hurricane Helene hitting the area. So I just wanted to stand while my food was being made.
So after I mentioned to her that I preferred to stand she rolled her eyes and let out a “huff”. So I asked if there was a problem. She replied “yes, you are standing at the counter and I need you to go sit down”. I again explained that I preferred to stand and that there were no other customers in the establishment and that if any one came in. I would move and that I had already stepped aside.
She once again continued with her attitude. I told her that at this point, I want a refund and that since she hadn’t really started on my food to stop and simply give me my money back. She then again with an attitude told me that I could not receive a refund and that in order to do so, I would need to email the owner. I asked for the owners email address and she said she didn’t have it. I asked to speak with a manager and she told me that the manager didn’t come in until later.
So I left. I went next door to the burger spot. Told them about my experience and they mentioned that customers frequently tell them a similar story. They even described the person without me telling them. The “girl with the purple hair” who apparently is related to the manager.
Long story short. Don’t eat there. They are rude, the place is dirty and you can get much better food and service somewhere else. You want to get a good meal and feel appreciated for spending your hard earned money? Avoid this place. Simply connect door grab a burger and feel like you are...
Read moreI will try to keep this review as short as possible while still getting the facts across. Shortly after 1:30am on Sunday September 17 I placed a 3 calzone order for myself and a couple friends for delivery. I paid over the phone with my debit card. We waited up past the time the establishment was open during which time I never received my food. I also never received a call about my order. The next morning I called the establishment and very politely asked for a refund on my order. They said I needed to call back at 7:00pm when the manager was in. Due to other obligations I could not call past 7:00pm. I called the next morning. I was told the same thing. I called the manager after 7:00pm and they said it was too late to do anything but if I emailed the contact email on their website that I could get in touch with the owner and get a refund very easily. I sent an email to the address I found on the website. After providing the information requested I received an email at 2:30am this morning saying that they would not give me a refund because I must have fallen asleep because I didn't call the restaurant. The following is a quote from the email I received.
"Did you call the restaurant anytime between 2:30-4AM asking where you food may be? If not, this may also be an indication that you possibly fell asleep, and thus did not answer the door or phone when our driver did what he is paid to do; deliver the food at all costs."
I did not call the establishment because I was unaware that I needed to babysit and thought that since I paid money I would receive what I paid for. After I realized that they were not going to deliver the food, I went to bed with intentions to resolve the issue in the morning.
I love the touch about delivering the food at all costs. Obviously this isn't true but the fact that hypothetically speaking a driver will deliver food at any cost whatsoever is very humorous to me. The rest of the email was written in a language that made me feel like I was on trial or being accused of lying which I would never do especially for services that I paid for. I currently filed a case with my bank and will get this resolved no matter how bad the terrible owner wants to keep their $41.20. Read moreI ordered late 12 am Sunday morning I understand that it may be busy. I called at 2:15am because I did not receive my order. I was told by a young lady that it will be "a few minutes" I waited until 2:55am to call again and a gentleman answered and explain that they only have 2 drivers and a lot of orders. Trust me I understand but I believe it is absolutely absurd to have any customer wait 3 hours for food without calling to let the customer know why there is such a long wait. It is currently 3:38am as I am writing this review and I have not received my food in which I paid online 48$ for. As soon as I click "post" I will be calling for a refund. Currently 3:40 and they close at 4 am.... I've never had to give a restaurant a bad review before because I've never waited 3 hours before
Update at 3:50 am- so I called to cancel my order and the young lady that picked up the phone had no idea what to tell me about that status of my order.. I know this because I can hear her saying " what do you want me to tell her, I dnt know what to tell her". The "manager" got on the phone to tell me that my order was put in as a pick up and not a delivery. I told him I put in for delivery because I put my address in and I know I put in for delivery but even though, why is it when I called twice before, I wasn't told that it was a pick up when I called asking when my order will be delivered. He told me I was the one that put in pick up so it's not their fault. I was insulted because I wasn't blaming them for anything but miscommunication. If I was told it was for pick up any of the first 2 times I called, I would of just went and picked it up. NEVER blame the customer .. not sure how this guy became a manager. He apologized but I told him he doesn't sound apologetic and I do no accept. He asked me if I want him to void the order and I told him yes. And we hung up.
