Fox's Pizza Den — Restaurant in Columbia

We stopped at Fox's Den Pizza this past weekend on our way back home to Amite County.

When we arrived there were no other customers there. We ordered a large meat pizza to eat there, paid for it, and chose a table to sit at. It wasn't long before I was freezing and my husband, who is always hot, agreed with me.

Prices were very reasonable and in par with other chain pizza places. Our large meat pizza was $17.99, if I remember correctly.

Our pizza was ready and served within 15 minutes of ordering and looked delicious. I asked the young lady if they could please adjust the temperature in the dining room, as it was cold enough for a winter coat in the summer. She said, "Certainly," and disappeared.

The pizza had meat toppings of ham, Italian sausage, pepperoni, and bacon. It had a great flavor, although a bit on the greasy side. I was more disappointed in how fast the pizza got cold in the blizzard conditions versus the pizza flavor/greasiness.

Fox's has several television sets on the wall to keep guests entertained while they wait for their food and eat. We watched a collegiate football game on our visit.

Fox's Pizza Den could stand some improvement in cleanliness, as most of the tables appeared not to have been wiped down from previous customers. The restrooms were neat and cleaner than most. A+ in that area.

As we were leaving, several other customers were in line to order pizzas.

Overall, I give Foxe's Puzza Den in Columbia, MS 3.5 stars. Just a few adjustments would really make this a great...

Very very disappointed on my second trip....I came here when I got into town and ordered a pizza. I enjoyed it. Tonight I ordered the 12 piece wings and a large hoagie. I got pretty much a salad sandwich and when I asked the girl why there was no meat she says, " I don't know they have a scoop they use....." I went home n pulled every piece of meat I could get off n it was literally less than 1 oz. Sir you will lose business. The wings, I liked the taste of i could get past the cold. They were not only cold on the outside but cold cold inside. They look closed all the time as well. Not sure I'll be back. Oh n I forgot. I sat down n my phone dinged with my transaction n I don't know why I looked but I did a custom tip amount, they gave themselves 4x the tip I put in. Like literally 4x..... I asked if the Thursday night game was on n the girl told me she didn't know and didn't know how to work the TV's. How do you work at a place with 4-6 TV's and not know how to change the channels or maybe...

We came to Columbia to see the Christmas lights/nativity downtown, and decided on Fox’s beforehand. We arrived and placed our order for ONE PIZZA at 5:15. Others came in after us and received their orders within 20-30 minutes. We were still waiting at 6:10 (they closed at 6 due to the holiday). During this time, no one checked on us or our food. Once I walked to the front counter and asked how much longer it’d be, the girl went to the back to check on our order. The lady in the back loudly laughed, stated she had misplaced it, said she didn’t see what the big deal was because it’d still be hot. The pizza was definitely not hot. We were very disappointed to arrive to town almost two hours early and then have to eat in our vehicle on the way downtown so we didn’t miss...
