Happy Cow Cafe — Restaurant in Columbia

I usually love this place and my parents and I traveled 25 mins just to eat lunch there together. We were seated and promptly greeted and our drink order was taken. However, we sat there for at least 15 minutes and we did not get our drinks. Our server was at the front serving a group, but there were still several other people on the floor. She came and got another tables food order beside us (they had gotten there shortly after us and had not gotten their drinks yes either). We still had no drinks. I told my parents we would wait five more minutes to see if we would get our drinks, but we never did. We ended up leaving and no one said anything to us. This occurred on Monday June 29th around 1pm. I also want to say I have a ton of empathy and patience for those that work in the food service industry as I have also been in that business for 10 years but this was a little ridiculous. The resturaunt was not slammed, but there were two other tables in there that had arrived shortly after us and they still had not gotten their drinks either. I went to happy cow today, like I do every Sunday. I pulled up to order and I ordered an iced Carmel latte with an order of avocado toast, an iced chai latte with cold foam, and a sausage egg and cheese biscuit. I pulled up to the window and the lady checked me out. About 5 minutes later she handed me the drinks and said here is the vanilla iced latte and the chai latte which has no cold foam. I kindly tell her that the chai is wrong and it was supposed to have cold foam on top, I even offered to pay for the cold foam that was supposed to be in my order. I didn't even say anything about the wrong flavor in my coffee. She comes back and is very rude and says just pull up to spot 1, then slams the little window. I pulled up to the waiting spot and waited for my food. I opened my Togo box and found an egg shell in my eggs. And the other sandwich for my boyfriend had eggs and shredded cheese. His sandwich had eggshells all in it. I was in a rush so I didn't say anything, which is why I'm writing a review. I understand that they might have been busy. Please be safe when...

I’m sure they are more known for their coffee drinks and baked goods. But, they have table service for breakfast and lunch and, seeing they offer table service they ought to operate as such.

I ordered my Brunch Burger without American cheeses (personally , I despise it), and I specifically asked for some mayo, some mustard and ketchup because the menu pretty describes the burger as being dry and no spreads or sauces. No problem our server says.

Our order comes and my burger was cooked with American cheese, dry as a board and no condiments that I requested . I asked for these after my food was delivered and waited (while burger is now getting cold) for them to bring the mayo, mustard, and ketchup.

Once I had what was requested, the burger tasted just fine. Never saw our server after he took our order, no one to check back and ask if everything fine or do we need anything?

This may be “high expectations “ but I see it as a minimum expectation when table service is part of...
