Hooligan Burger — Restaurant in Columbia

DO NOT USE THIS RESTAURANT. I took my family there for the first time yesterday for lunch. We live in this area and were excited about a new place to eat. We arrived and went to the counter to order. There were two employees making burger patties (NOT WEARING GLOVES) scratching their faces etc. There was one lady at the counter counting change out of what appeared to be a tip jar. She did not acknowledge us at all and another female employee approached. She did not acknowledge us either and the lady counting change told her to send one of the other two up, tell them there are a bunch up front. It was only my family, and 4 people already eating. There were no other customers in the facility. We continued waiting, and another lady, approached the counter, said nothing, avoided eye contact, grabbed something under the counter and left. We continued to wait and were never waited on or even acknowledged that we were there, we eventually walked out. Customer service doesn't exist here. We left and went to Zaxby's to eat. Sorry guys, I have to give them a 3 star rating for now. This was my first time here. The burger I ordered was straight up stranger than I would’ve ever ordered in the past….but what happened was the meat was under cooked. And most raw in the middle or the patty. Sorry guys. Can’t do it! Back in the day I would’ve eat it and said it ok. But not this day and time. Must be well done on my meat. My dog smells of the burger and let me know the meat was of poor quality. Walmart I would said. I don’t buy meat from Walmart. So I wish there burger meats were better. I understand there saving money. Guys I will try you all one more time. But I will be honest I will be telling you all about the meat. I would’ve taken it back…. But after seeing the center of the burger with blood. I was done. Wishing the dinner decor, was a little more cleaner looking. Sad looking place indeed inside here. Not uplifting at all. Thanks for the sports on the one tv set...

Ok! As a burger guy, Hooligans was recommended to me over and over. I used the drive-through. Not overly busy, and it did not take a long time, especially given there is no speaker. You order in person, at the window. Simple order, OG burger combo, cheese only. It did not take too long to get my food. The food was fresh, hot and cooked to order. However, the burger was torched. So, ask if you have an option to get it cooked less if you don't like well-done burgers. The crinkle cut fries, my fave, were hot and freshly cooked, but they were mostly those brown squishy kind of cries. Ugh. It was a lot of fries, so I was able to dig through and find enough to satisfy. This is exactly my kind of place...burgers. The burger appeared to be hand patted. I could tell it would have been 🔥 if it had been taken off the grill a couple of minutes sooner. I will certainly give them another shot, for sure. I will dine in next time and update my review...
