My House Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Columbia

I reached out to enquire about a birthday party that I wanted to host. The representative who's over events was very sarcastic over the phone. Eventually I was told that I could come in at any time to view the reservation space, so I went the next day during my lunch break. Upon entering the building I wasn't acknowledged for an entire 10 minutes (I kept track since I was on break). Upon being acknowledged, it just so happened that it was by the event coordinator, whom also was working the bar.

As I'm waiting to speak with her, I take a look around & they aren't that busy. It may have been 4 workers there & Customers were seated on different sides of the restaurant and 2 tables in particular, I could tell that they has been waiting for a while because they started yelling at employees across the restaurant for service.

Once I was able to speak with the coordinator, I notified her that we spoke the day before in regards to a reservation & that I was there to look at the space. I was then told that I couldn't look at it due to it being reserved for a work meeting, which is OK. However, don't tell someone that they could stop by any time to see the space but then reject the offer upon arrival. (You should know in advance when it's unavailable so that you can tell a future client when to and when not to stop by).

Over all, my interaction with the event coordinator (which didnt go too well), canceled the establishment as an option...

If I were able to give this place zero stars I would. We came here because Kiki's was crowded with a long wait. They didn't have much of anybody here so we assumed we would get food fast. Our waitress, Shai, definitely needs further training in the customer service department. I'm not sure if we could even consider her our waitress if we only saw her three times. There were 4 of us in our party and about 6 in the party across the way from us she continuously went to their table to see if they needed anything or to stand around and chat with them while we had to yell out to get some sort of attention from anyone. For the time that we spent waiting to receive our food we could have stayed and waited at the restaurant that we wanted to be at. It took way too long to get our meals. Our food was cold when we finally did get it. We had a drink that was spilled. She never fixed another drink. She never brought napkins. We had to reach out to other waitresses for things that we needed. She didnt even come over to bring us the checks. She sent them through someone else. Her service all around was slack. Attended: The Cohen's 50th birthday party. On March 25th 2023 started at 8pm. The terrible rappers took over the music at the party!!! No one wanted to hear 3hrs of that mess!!! There were seniors there to celebrate that special day!!! DJ lied and said the music was going to be played for the 50th party and on top of that they charged everyone invited to the Cohen's Party $5 which should not have been requested from that party the Cohen's function.. which was told it was RSVP !! And paid for!!! The Cohen's Party should not have been responsible to pay for that rapping mess!!! Total DISRESPECT!! The Cohen's should be compensated for the fact that your establishment would allow 2 fuctions at same time!! and the few people who came for that rap session was able to walk in and enjoy the food that was purchased for the Cohen's festivties ONLY!!!
