China Garden Restaurant — Restaurant in Columbia

I just left this restaurant because I've been hearing good reviews but I ordered the small beef lomein & I don't want to complain but it was so dry Im kind of disappointed because I waste money, i mean no sauce or juices in the lomein then my noodles were sticking together, they do open the box for you to see & it looked good but thinking the juices were going to be at the bottom like any other lomein I order from other restaurants it was nothing just dry, I couldn't even enjoy it but this just was not it but I can say everyone were nice but I am very disappointed

It wont allow me to respond back to your response but to answer that why would anyone want dry sticky noodles?? & How am I supposed to know u have to ask for sauce when I've been to several Chinese restaurants of course everyone cooks different but never had noodles with no sauce & that were dry & mushy!! Its ok everybody just don't make good lomein I'm just disappointed I waste money!!

Response back; First I didn't say 'you all" said I couldn't respond back!! Google doesnt & secondly for y'all to be in a business y'all are very unprofessional with the back & forth responses!! If I had a bad experience take it as it is!! Not everyone has bad experiences & I have the right to state my opinion & the lomein was very dry!! & common sense if I was a first time customer you should have asked how do I want my noodles but why would I think to ask that when noodles are not made to be DRY nor sticky!! & another thing maybe they taste like that because it was so busy in their I didn't have to wait 5mins for my order to get ready so it was cooked pretty fast! I called several times to let management know that there was an issue with my food, patiently waited each time. I had plastic cooked into my food thankfully it was my plate and not my child. This is very dangerous. It would have been terrible to have choked on this and the crazy part was I pulled this out of my mouth because it felt weird and thankfully I did. This was a disgusting and scary experience.

Update * ….September 9 2024….. y’all are such big liars how the hell I don’t know where I went to. Duh I checked the address and not to mention the picture of the staff on google review. Look it don’t even matter cause that was my last time coming there. Just own up to it I got a call log to show numerous times I’ve called there and at the same time I got receipt to prove it and the text message from you all. I walked in your restaurant to order my food. Stop being silly. If you messed up you messed up. I told you I was going to leave a review here because yall kept putting me on hold for the 5th time. I was being courteous calling you all first…. This what I had to do to get your attention. Stop playing dumb….and my ever since we ate from there the same night both me and my husband stomach been jacked up but trust and believe we’re not coming back...

China Garden in Columbia, SC is a true hidden gem! The food was absolutely amazing—I couldn’t resist trying a little bit of everything. The beef and broccoli with garlic sauce was full of flavor, the chicken egg foo young came with a rich, delicious gravy that was definitely the highlight, and the crab rangoon was perfectly stuffed. The rib tips were tender and not overly sweet, just right.

But the star of the show had to be the Mumbo Sauce Wings with house fried rice. As a DC native who just moved here, I can honestly say—these are IT! The wings and sauce taste just like home, and that alone will keep me coming back again and again.

On top of the food, the service adds to the experience. The lady who runs the front is hilarious—don’t mistake her personality for an attitude, that’s just her style, and it actually makes the visit even better.
