Slice of Columbia — Restaurant in South Carolina

The waiter wasn’t very attentive. She got the kids drink and forgot to bring my drink, didn’t get my drink until after 20 minutes or so of being seated. Asked the waiter about the alcoholic beverages she wasn’t very helpful with that she said there were daiquiris but didn’t state what kind and said there was a daiquiri menu up front but when i looked i didn’t see one she said ask the bartender about the daiquiris so i left that alone and decided no drinks for me. I ordered 20 wings and Philly cheesesteak fries for me and 10 wings and a medium pizza for the kids. I originally tried to order them a pizza slice each but she stated they don’t do those anymore however it is still advertised on their menu. I asked if we could get all of our food at once she said they can’t do that. After about an hour of sitting, drink cups empty, no refills being offered, the first 20 wings came out. Wings were very dry, hard, and over cooked. I usually ask places to cook my wings a little longer but i guess at this place you have to ask them to not cook them so long. We waited all that time and the wings were not even hot and fresh just dry hard and cold. About 10 minutes later the other 10 piece came out. About 20 more minutes behind that the philly cheesesteak fries came out, only item that was good and hot. However i would have liked to eat them with my wings which is why i asked if everything could come out together not 20 minutes apart after already waiting an hour. 20 additional minutes later the pizza came out. It was hot n fresh but i didn’t get a chance to taste it as i was annoyed and ready to go. This place has potential but a lot needs to be adjusted. Especially not being able to get all food at once. If my meal consist of wings and fries i don’t want the fries 20 minutes or more after getting the wings. Lastly clean up them bathrooms please! And put paper towel in them! Black people want to support black businesses but black businesses got to do better! This was a not so good first experience and whomever is running the kitchen is very unorganized with how they get their orders out. If a customer sits for an hour all of their food should be coming out at the same time. If a customer orders philly fries with their wings their wings and fries should come out together not 20 minutes apart! Stop having them wings fried already and sitting room temperature dipped in sauce and bought out to the costumer especially after waiting an hour we expect fresh hot food. I just moved to South Carolina a month and a half ago and discovered this place online and had been here once before and I wanted to enjoy it so bad but this service and wait times are just unexceptionable. My first visit the food took and 1 hr and 45 mins to receive and they thought free shots would compensate for the wait and I let it slide because they did seem busy. I came back today thinking it would be better. Even called ahead to see how busy they were and they assured me it was slow and we’d be sat immediately. The most positive things about this experience was that we were greeted upon Arrival, immediately sat and when I let our server know we were here for happy hour items she was very quick. We ordered everything at one time and the drinks came quick but for the next hour we were surprised to not only haven’t seen our server since but we had still received no food. Maybe 10 minutes later as man passing by asked if we needed something (probably because of the looks on our faces) and we let him know our food and he said he’d get our server. She came and we got two shots of “patron” because that was supposed to be on special for $5. I’m very glad it was only $5 because as someone who’s bartended, that was 100% not patron but some other very cheap liquor. Having ordered 6 wings and a personal pizza, the pizza eventually came out and it was good! 15mins later the wings came out and tasted like a bucket of salt. The flavor was hot lemon pepper and it tasted like nothing salt. Too unbearable to finish even 1, she returned with my friends food (mine came before her though we both ordered the same thing at the same time) I let her know I just couldn’t do it and she asked if wanted more wings with out it but I let her know I didn’t want to have to wait over an hour again. My honest review of Slice of Columbia. I was outside at 2:58pm waiting for them to open so I could try their food. They opened up at 3pm which is the time they normally open which they opened up on time. I was the first customer to walk in and place my order. I ordered 6 wings , meat lovers personal pizza for my husband. I ordered a small pasta salad & jerk chicken personal pizza for myself. I spent over $40 dollars for the food which is fine. Let’s start with the service the young girl working their was very sweet my issues was I was the first customer and watched 4 customers get their orders I waited over an hour I walked up to the counter and said Hey do you know what’s taking so long with my order I’ve waited over an hour I was very polite. The lady said oh we didn’t have any personal dough ready we are making some I’m like ok. In all reality it would’ve been common courtesy to let your customer know what’s going on at that point I’m pissed but I’m still being polite holding my composure it took an additional 20 mins to get the pizza so all in all I waited a hour and 30 mins. When I took the pizza she said sorry for your wait. I took my pizza and left. Pasta salad had 2 infant shrimp and It didn’t have no crab in it smh, wings were toddler sized and not very flavorful now that jerk chicken pizza was good. My husband said the meat lovers is ok.
