We made a reservation for 8 pm on Saturday Sept 13th to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We arrived and were seated fairly quickly - actually, we were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant was fairly quiet...especially for a Saturday night.
Since it wasn't our first visit, we were curious as to why the silverware was laid on the table, and not wrapped in a cloth napkin as usual. However, no big deal, we figured that maybe they had temporarily run out, and they would likely bring them later.
Upon ordering we were informed that they were out of the entree that both myself and my son usually order...again, it happens. When the appetizers were brought out my husband pointed out that there were no napkins when we were seated, and inquired about getting some. The server left and when she came back, she threw a few of the small square napkins they typically use for beverage coasters into the center of the table. I would have assumed that they simply ran out, if it wasn't for the staffer literally arranging the silverware into napkins right next to our table! My husband was frustrated with the interaction and the servers attitude, but decided to "let it go" to avoid any unneccessary conflict. He did his best to mask his annoyance as he looked around the restaurant at the other patrons who had white cloth napkins at their tables, because he didn't want to upset our daughter on her birthday.
There were 6 of us - yet, the servers only brought out 4 entrees. Figuring the remaining entrees would be out in a couple of minutes, as is customary for our family, we opted to wait for everyone to be served, so we could begin eating together. After about 10 minutes, with our server nowhere in sight, we urged everyone to eat before their own meals became cold. Once the server returned more than 20 minutes later, and noticed that not everyone had been served she went back to the kitchen and returned with the 2 missing meals. When they arrived, they were barely luke warm, and my husbands meal was literally inedible...and he is hardly picky! Several others at the table "tried" his entree, and confirmed that there was something off about it - it became almost a game, as they struggled to pinpoint the flavors, and whether it was the taste or texture that was off. So, after waiting so long for his food to arrive, it was not even fit for consumption. Then, immediately after dropping of the final meals, the server disappeared again - returning some time later to ask if we wanted dessert. She was at our table with the pad and pen in her hand, when my daughter mentioned that it was her birthday and she had a coupon for a free cheesecake - then, mid order, the server excused herself again. Due to the timing of her exit, we thought maybe she had left abruptly because there was something special they did for birthdays. However, she returned several minutes later and simply picked up where she left off - asking what type of cheesecake she wanted and asking to see the coupon. By this time, it was almost 10 pm and we just wanted to go home - we didn't complain to anyone, we just wanted to get out of there! As soon as the server came with the cheesecake, I immediately asked for the check before she disappeared again, and waited for my daughter to eat her dessert. When it was all said and done, we had spent over $230, not including the McDonalds meal that we picked up on the way home for my starving husband, for horrible service and barely mediocre food. Eating here is similar to a quickly deteriorating relationship - despite the deterioration of the quality of our experiences at Cheesecake factory the past few times we have gone, I keep hoping that it will improve. However, sadly...I think this may be our final visit to...
Read moreWriting this for my BF as I’m witnessing this unfold … My Mom placed a pickup order & received my food incorrectly. I had ordered a cheeseburger meal with cheese and onions ONLY on my burger & received the burger with everything on it . Being very upset (this is the 3rd time they have screwed this order up ) I threw away the burger (saving the side ) I called up to Cheesecake Factory & was directed to speak to Mya about my order . She assured me that I could come back up to the restaurant & she would have my food remade. I told her I wasn’t able to come back up this evening & we agreed I would be up the following day . My mom went back the next day & had to sit for 2 hours waiting to speak to Mya about my food being remade . Mya had the food remade only to give us back a bun with a slice of cheese & onion .. no patty ?!! However my mom didn’t realize this till she got in the car but didn’t want to go back in bc she was so upset after waiting 2 hours !!! I called back to the restaurant & spoke to Mya & she stated in what world would McDonalds even give you back your meal if you ate the food ? Ate what food ?! We just spoke about this !! She proceed to talk over me & yell at me about eating the food !!! She hung up on me !! I call back and ask to speak to the GM .. I had several people pick the line up after waiting on hold for over 20 mins . Then Mya picks up the line and asks how can I help you ?! I said I’m sorry what’s your name (even though I clearly heard what she said her name was when she answered.. wanted to confirm for sure I heard what I heard !! ) she said Mya . I said Mya , you hung up on me I want to speak to the GM . She proceeded to go around and around with me again .. finally agreeing to get him . Josh gets on the phone .. I tell him about this 24 hr ordeal & he tells me that I should have brought the food back the same day & there’s to many holes in the store it’s a he said she said so he will remake my food if I’m willing to pay for it !!! Are you serious ?! Then he proceeds to argue about this with me (as I’m really really upset ) I ask for his last name & he rebutted with what’s your name ?! This is completely outrageous… over a burger 🍔?! I told him I was reaching out to corp , he said good so it he ! I’ve never been so disrespected in my life !! & again over a burger that could have been simply remade as I originally had...
Read moreWe came into the restaurant around 12:30 for a late Valentine’s lunch keep in mind we are young adults. Immediately we felt judged by the female host because of our age and we’re not greeted whatsoever. We were sat and our waitress came over to us. She lacked any sort of enthusiasm when greeting us I don’t remember her name exactly but I know it started with a T. She gave us our drinks and we ordered which went fine. When we got there it wasn’t very busy for the size of the restaurant but yet the food took a while. We were served the food and it tasted good but the waitress didn’t come and check on us. We then ordered desert and that was brought out. The cheesecake was delicious so we ordered one to go and asked for the bill. She brought us the bill and we paid in cash she asked “do you need any change back?” And we said yes. A couple minutes later she returned with the change but she only brought dollar bills but no coin change. I’m not sure why she thought it was okay to just keep the coin change when we specifically asked for the change back and we expected it all back. (I’m not sure if she pocketed the change but we were shorted and the whole idea just doesn’t sit right with me). We then waited a few minutes before we left, then once we got to the car we realized we never got our Togo cheesecake that we paid for, so we went back in and told the host the she never brought it and then the waitress came over and told us we left before she could give it to us. She said and I quote “sorry ‘bout that but maybe don’t leave so fast”. This whole experience was just upsetting because we went out for a nice lunch and didn’t have good service which is expected for a ‘nicer’ chain restaurant. I’ve read through some of the other reviews before posting mine and it seems like others have experienced bad service. I myself am a waitress and I felt so judged by the the host and the waitress just because we were young adults in there and not middle aged adult. When I go out to restaurants I always tip heavy because I understand what’s it’s like to serve but to be judged by our age thinking “these kids won’t tip well, I’m not going to give them good service” definitely got her a 18% tip. I’m not looking for any compensation the Cheesecake factory should just properly educate and train their employees on proper customer service and giving the...
