Terrible store policy. They never issue a refund only store credit. And they don't let you know before hand. Even when I specifically asked about their return policy only told me I should be fine if I brought it within 14days. But never mentioned that even within 14days you can not get your money back. Only store credit. Why would anyone want over $100 of store credit? I even mentioned that I wasn't quite sure of the outfit to the associate during purchase and they still weren't straight forward. Extremely pricey for a low quality brand. First time shopping here and obviously my last time. Returned item the very next day they gave me a store credit to my surprise. Called their online customer service not so helpful either. They say the policy is on their receipt. But how would you see the receipt if you haven't made a purchase. Something like this should be printed outside their store before you walk in so that it is very clear to unsuspecting customers. Fashion-wise, all the pieces are unique, and I always know I will find at least 10 designs with which to fall in love. It is the best place to shop for special events and for those interested in fashion. Most importantly, the staff makes Akira such a lovely environment. I usually hate shopping in general, but the staff at Akira always make me feel welcome, and they are knowledgeable about their products. Today, my stylist was Shawnta, and she gave my friend and I the best experience ever. She saw us looking lost and losing hope of finding the perfect outfit, and she immediately offered to help. Not only did she find the best pieces for us for our event, but she also made us feel confident and beautiful in everything we tried on. I was having a bad day until I walked into Akira, and I left with a gorgeous necklace and the brightest smile on my face that lasted for hours after. Fabulous clothes and an even greater staff! Read moreThis place was NOT a good look. The store was full of associates who were inconsiderate about navigating around me when I had my hands full of clothing. They could have easily gone down another row (they were short- think portable clothing rack) but instead found it better to squeeze past me. There were PLENTY of staff on the floor - only one even engaged me and only two were at the register. Some were connecting to customers but most were talking to each other. It’s clear folks come to work to play as opposed to customer service. It took over 30 minutes in line and as I was reaching to a bag stuck on a rack to my right (never leaving - leaning over) the rudest woman cut in front of me and the associate took her. In the era of online shopping this caliber of service is unacceptable. Shout out to Kayla who actually helped me in the floor and in the dressing room.
