Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Columbus

On 8/20/2023, I had the honor of visiting your Applebee’s location at 3229 Gentian Blvd. Present at the table was my fiancé, my brother, and myself. My brother placed and order from all you can eat boneless wing menu. I stated to my brother, well we can eat off your plate in a joking manner. The waitress (Brenah: spell check with name but if you need correct spelling, please let me know) informed us that he could not share his food. I informed her that we were playing and we understand the rule. My fiancé and myself ordered the classic combo and we shared that like we have always done when we visit different Applebee’s locations. My brother asked for another order and she stated that he could not place another order until all the wings are gone. He said he will take a order of fries and when you return, I will have ate all the food. When she return with the fries she, he placed another order of boneless wings. He never received the order. The waiter came back and stated since we made the statement that we will eat off his plate, she could not place the order. She goes on to say that she spoke with her manager and that’s what he told her and if we have any issues we can speak with him. She gave us our receipt balled up and place everything on one order. She threw her hands up and walked off. She didn’t ask did we need anything else. We spoke with the manager (black male working in the back) and he stated the contacted corporate and that’s what they told him. We explained the situation to him informing that everything was in a joking manner and the waitress said I am not going to lose my job and how do I know you were playing. Now the issue I have is, with us making the statement in a joking manner, why she didn’t say anything prior to the second order being made? The manger stated that menu stated no sharing of food. We informed him that the menu does not say that along with the website. The website states “dine-in only; no to-go orders”. I am a veteran and I also work for the government so therefore I understand that rules are put in place for a reason. For the waiter and manger to handle the situation like they did was unacceptable. Are you telling me that customers cannot come into your establishment and jokingly play about certain things? How can you determine if a customer get a order based off what was said at the table? Not only that, to quote and say” if we hear about sharing or know you are sharing, then we can’t place the order?” I am very disappointed in the services that was received from your establishment. Both parties, the waiter and manager had such a “I don’t care attitude”. The bad part about it, was my brother was still hungry. For us to pay for food there and go to another restaurant to eat was...

My family and I will NEVER come back to this location ever again. We were seated with no silverware, when it came time to order drinks we couldn't get the Dracula drink because they ran out, then we ordered some smoothies and couldn't get that because the blender was broken. When we finally got our appetizers, the white guy that set it down on our table just dropped it off with no pause to get feed back, or give us plates and we still didn't have silverware. We sent it back due to everything being cold, then the bar tender with the attuide made my mom a disgusting drink on the rocks. My sister ordered a steak and me and my mom ordered tacos and the steak was over cooked ans the tacos were cold ONLY the plate was hot. We sent those back and they never came back. Then after waiting for a long time and watching the other members at our table get their food and finished them. We still never got our food back after waiting for over an hour. We finally told our waitress to cancel the two tacos, steak and appetizer. The manager was supposed to come and talk to us BUT he never came to our table and he was literally at 2 tables down from us. Waited another 30 minutes for him still nothing. My dad went to find our waitress to get the bill and we we left after that. ALSO during our 1 hour wait time for our food, they apparently brought a new blender and didn't care to inform us, we only discovered it when a black girl with a pixie hair cut with glasses came by with the drinks that were sold out. My dad called for her she TURNED around in a fighting stance with a major attuide on her face and acted like we were scum for wanting to ask a question about the drinks. We asked for the Dracula drinks and were brought the Zombie drinks instead. We sent those back, my sister overheard the bar tender talking to the waitresses there and he was rude as hell. SHUT...

I now understand why I stopped going to this Applebee's location. A friend and myself decided to go have a drink/appetizer so we sat at the bar. I knew when I sat down that the experience was not going to go well. The bartender was talking loudly and laughing with his "friends" sitting on the other side of the bar while constantly giving them drinks. He told us he would be with us shortly two times before actually taking our order 10 - 15 minutes later. It was not crowded. We finally ordered food and drinks but when the food came out my friend was given the wrong food. We NEVER got the drinks we ordered. We wanted to try their new drinks and he advised us they had ran out of the ingredients earlier. As he continued giving his friends attention, another couple came and sat next to us. I don't know if he knew them or not but when the lady ordered a frozen drink, he made a whole pitcher of it just for her. Do you think she paid for the refills? Hmmm . Then the other bartender/waitress came behind the bar and her and the guy started having a full blown argument while the friends were laughing. She poured herself a shot and made a drink for a waiter standing at the bar. We knew it was for the waiter because it was in a white paper cup. He never came and asked did we need anything or if everything was okay. At this point I just wanted the ticket and to leave. There was no need in telling the manager about the service because she was acting and going along with what he was doing. He had the manager to come and give us our tickets which still had the drinks we never received on them. We then found out that our appetizers were not half priced as advertised. I paid with exact change and left.....
