Back in December 2016 I came in to order my son's birthday cake. The four years prior I've never been told I couldn't have the cake I want in the size I want at this location and that it was against DQ's policy (what? Been getting cakes at DQ since my 15th birthday, NEVER heard this before now). Okay, so I instead order the largest size I can get that cake in, no problem. When I came in to get the cake on his birthday it wasn't ready. They had even lost the ticket for it and forgot all about it, so I had to get another cake all together. I was only offered a pack of candles and 5% off for the inconvenience.
Fast forward six months later and I ask for my usual, Caramel Chip frappe, light on the ice cream a little heavy on the coffee. Shouldn't be too difficult. The girl comes to the window, says "you said heavy on the ice cream, right?"
I told her no and within a few seconds they had it up, but heavy on the ice cream. She offered to fix it and this time brought me one with hardly any ice cream. I end up having to go inside and was greeted with attitudes and fake smiles instantly. A few minutes later she returns with an attitude, slams my drink down and when I ask for a straw proceeds to ask me if I'm keeping the drink first. Later I get to work and open the mushroom swiss burger I ordered and there's no swiss, very few mushrooms, and tons of mayo to hide the lack of swiss I presume.
Thing is, I'm not a person who complains a lot. It really takes a lot to irritate me or make me unhappy with service or food.
That being said, I'll be back. At least the place is clean and the drink is my favorite, but the staff could work on their customer service and interpersonal skills quite a bit. I work in the service industry and sometimes you have to grin and bear it, but nevertheless go above and beyond to make sure your clients are happy and try to do it with a...
Read more5/29/22 @ 5:15pm - Zero, and I mean, zero F’s given. Again. This is not an isolated incident. I’m only leaving a review because this is a pattern that someone should take note of eventually.
Dairy Queen is a fond childhood memory for me, but not like this. No one likes ice cream all over the sides of their blizzard such that it runs down onto their vehicle’s console. No one likes sticky hands (from grabbing the blizzard) all over their steering wheel. No one likes their order thrown in the bag (upside down fries somehow).
It was clear by the look on the woman’s face in the drive thru window that she didn’t want to be there and did not want to serve customers. And the workers behind her didn’t seem too happy either.
Perhaps the day wasn’t going well. That happens and is understandable. But please don’t take it out on your customers.
[And “DQ Fan Relations Team” - please don’t reply to this with a similar almost-copy/paste response like many of your others hoping that I can “give it another chance”. It just makes you appear even less caring. A personal, well thought out reply can be fine, but a machine-like 10-second reply simply because “that’s your process” so you can say “you checked the box” is worse than no reply at all. And honestly, this doesn’t warrant a reply with your words anyway. Instead, reply with your consistent actions in fixing this location. That’s how you can let your customers know you...
Read moreI had to wait forever in line in drive-thru. I finally got to the window and got my food and left to go home, I got home I had ordered the four piece chicken with white gravy, open the gravy and it was pure watery the toast was full of the butter but had not been toasted. I picked up the phone and it called Dairy Queen back she said she was one of the managers so I went back to Dairy Queen enter the food back and then they had me pull up from drive-thru to the sidewalk I waited on my food so she brings me out supposedly a new meal I waited about 10 minutes. I decided to check the food before I left she put me two bowls of gravy instead of one I opened them, the gravy look fine then and I felt of the chicken and the fries and then decided to look at the bread again cuz it was flipped over the bridge still had not been toasted and all she done was took the chicken and french fries from one box to the other after an hour and it was cold I got out of my car and throw it in the trash I will never ate a dead Dairy Queen again. They stay busy yes but it takes them forever to do anything and when they do it's not right. However I intend to see if I can't get hold of the owner tomorrow because this is not the first time I've had...
