Build Yo Poke --- Best Rice Bowls — Restaurant in Columbus

My husband is active military, We lived in Hawaii for over 6 years. We loved the cuisine there and miss it dearly. We were out shopping. We didnt have a taste for anything drove by thinking maybe stopping at the pita place. But wasnt feeling that either. Drove past and my husband said turn around??? there is a Hawaiian resturant. We were thinking it was like chicken katsu. We walked in to this clean, welcoming place with smiling faces. I think Nika saw we werent sure, we were about to walk out. She said may I make you a sample? Let's just say that sample blew us away. We bought bowls for each of us and I was so surprised my husband loved it. He is a meat and potatoe kind of guy. We took our bowls home and amazing. I even brought my daughter the next day she was very sceptical because she thought it would be more american made than Hawaiian. Lets just say Nika proved her wrong as well. Nika took out time with us, explained the poke bowl and had great suggestions. My daughter and i went back a month later only because of work, life and a strict diet. Nika remembered me like it was yesterday, even remembered what i had before. I love this place. We so needed this in Columbus. If you love Poke or even just Sushi you have got to try this place its addictive, all fresh ingredients and wonderful customer service. Ask for Nika you...

I'll start this off with both my husband and I have been in food service for 20+ years (combined 40 years including owning our own) Gave the food two stars because it all tasted good but unfortunately the very rude tattooed woman with botched face fillers only gave us one scoop of rice. ROLLED HER EYES WHEN I ASKED FOR MORE PINEAPPLE. When asking questions about the menu we are met with attitude (we've never ate here before) Between her nasty attitude and a lack of ingredients in our bowl I don't suggest ever going to this location. It was definitely not worth the money spent. We should have walked out when she was rude and had an attitude to begin with. Started the interaction complimenting her tattoos..just to be met with attitude. I just love sitting there eating my meal hearing her complain about other (previous) guests. I guess double rice is one scoop...lol.

You can definitely tell when front of house has no back of house (really front of house too with that attitude) or food cost experience.

She just acted annoyed with us the whole interaction and we should have walked out. We were not happy with our service and we were not happy with our food.

I tried this spot for the first time yesterday. My experience was great. In fact I enjoyed it so much I came back today and got a larger bowl unfortunately my experience today was so terrible this will more than likely be my last time. The crew members yesterday were awesome a younger guy and a older woman. Today a younger woman was there and while I'm sure she felt she was being efficient and providing excellent customer service I don't agree. A soldier entered before me he was lucky enough to get the older lady from yesterday. The younger woman decided she would jump in and help. She totally began reaching over and around the other lady and was going so fast her methods came off as rude to me. I even apologize to the man in front of me on her behalf. I was under the impression that this was not fast food so the rush job left me with a bad taste in my mouth. To the young lady faster is not always better. I'm sitting here now looking at my purchase and feeling like I made a mistake. The single star is not for the food it's for the speed demon slow it down it doesn't...
