Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom — Restaurant in Columbus

Please explain to me why I had a horrible experience there on Feb 19th between 6:30 pm and- 9pm. We came to your restaurant for my 7 year olds birthday as a party of 7. We order fountain drinks that we received at 6:40 and never received refills for the remainder of the time spent there. We finally got our orders in and when the food came out 2 orders were wrong and the BIRTHDAY CHILDS food was not there. The wrong food was taken back. We waited an additional 15/20 min for a remake, the remade food came out big still no food for my son. By 8:25 my son THE BIRTHDAY boy finally received his KIDS PIZZA. 2 hours later, the waitress claimed the pizza was “wrong” and she “had them remake it”

No napkins were given throughout our experience, food was wrong, my son waited 2 hours for his kids pizza, we had no refills our entire experience and the silverware was dirty.

In the midst of this we are communicating with the server and she’s clearly annoyed although she was the one who was messing up. She wasn’t responding to us telling her our issues instead just walking off with an attitude.

The last straw was when it came to pay and leave. We asked about military discount and showed our ids. The waitress leaves. And comes back stating the manager wants all our ideas.

Legally we can not hand over our MILITARY CAC for security purposes, I explained that to her. And with an attitude she handed everyone’s ids back, we asked for the manager to come to the table to see our ideas and talk about our experience. She walked away.

When she came back we asked why the manager still hasn’t came .. her response was “I took care of it”

We clearly asked for the manager 3 times at this point. He refused to come to our table and, he wouldn’t even look at our table let alone walk anywhere nearby although he knew we had issues.

This was completely unfortunate and unacceptable, I love Old Chicago, and the food is always good and the service has usually always been well but tonight was unacceptable! We had a female waitress with short orangeish hair, glasses and a nose piercings. The manager on shift...

I reviewed this restaurant 3 yrs ago when it 1st opened. This was the 3rd visit in a long time. Well this will be the last. It was by far the absolute worst restaurant experience in my life!!! My daughter wanted to have a few of her friends to share in her birthday dinner on October 15th, 2022. It was nearly a 2hr wait of course given a big game was on and pple stayed a little longer than expected. We're ok. The crowd leaves after the game. We are seated with no utensils. Then our female waiter disappears, she comes back to get the food and drinks order of ONLY the adults in the party. I step away for 10 minutes and their food is coming out; however the girls haven't even given their drinks orders. She disappears again, then we get a male waiter b/c the female one has to leave. So at this point we have no utensils, the girls orders haven't been taken and 2 adults never get their food or drink. I ask for a manager b/c it's going downhill fast. What a waste of time. Mr. Richard was rude, unprofessional, blamed me for complaining, nonchalant and never apologizes for anything. He didn't offer no type of solution or resolution. He was happy with the fact that he had customers in his restaurant that were being treated like garbage and disrespectful. Not a care in the world. With everyone in our party it was more than $200+ in sales. To add insult to injury, one of the girls in our party ordered a individual thin crust pizza in she waited nearly 3hrs for b/c no one put the order in, so once it was ready, she had to pay for it and once again not offered a discount or we are sorry...nothing. And the so call manager, Mr. Richard never came back to our area to see if things were good...nothing. Absolutely beyond piss poor service, treatment, lack of compassion and ruin my daughter's birthday dinner with her friends. And the food was mediocre and didn't taste good at all. I didn't eat or drink anything the entire time we were there. I just refused to spend anymore money than what my daughter ordered. Thanks for nothing and we won't be...

I really had huge expectations walking in for the first time based off of a recommendation. Unfortunately I was most definitely let down. Seated quickly which was awesome, they were a little busy during the lunch rush but most definitely not packed or crowded. Server took drink orders promptly as well as appetizers. These were great I do recommend their dry rub bone in wings, but this is supposed to be a pizza establishment and this is where they fell short. Pizza didn’t take long to come out but was not cooked properly for a thin crust pizza and not cut properly either. I had to fight with the spatula they serve with to cut and separate every slice as it seemed like they barely made any effort to properly cut the pizza. The pizza was mediocre at absolute best, and I say that being someone who is not hard to please when it comes to pizza. Also, once the pizza came out our server didn’t check on us one time until we had to flag her down and stop her to get boxes and our check. Was an “OK” place but not at all what I anticipated and expected from a restaurant of such.

UPDATE Gave them a second chance. Ordered wings as I really liked them before. Couldn’t be more disappointed…. Ordered curb side pickup for a specific time. Wings were so dry they were almost not even edible. It was like they made them earlier in the day and put them under the heat lamps for HOURS!!!! Downgrading my review to one star would give zero if it was possible. Clearly they have a huge management issue at...
