I am only sharing a 2 star review because of the delivery driver I met today by the name of Anthony. This young man works for your establishment, otherwise you would deserve deserve a 0/10.
I DIDNT EVEN ORDER ANY FOOD!!!!
Anthony and I met because he was knocking on doors in an apartment complex with a 5120 address but, no apartment number.
When I answered the door, he asked if I knew a "Pam" at 5120 Henderson. No, I do not know a Pam here BUT I am willing to help. THIS building is 5120, do you have a number for the customer? He replies, "I tried 3x already. Watch...(proceeds to call customer...no answer, straight to voice mail)
Me: Have you tried calling your store or supervisor? YES...THEY WONT ANSWER!
I tell Anthony: Maybe try every door that reads 5120? He said..I already knocked on every door except mayne 1 or 2 of them.
Well, buddy...try the doors you didn't knock?
I go back inside...while sitting at the table doing trade school studies, I see his legs go up and down my apartment line in a desperate attempt to deliver the food he is carrying...after 15 mins, ai come back outside.
Hey "friend, you still can't find your customer?" - NO
"And your supervisors or store won't answer your calls?" (I personally witnessed 3 calls to his store in this 20 minute span and he showed me on speaker)
I advise..."Alright well, is the pizza paid for?" -Yes! "Do you have other deliveries sitting in your car?" -YES!
Anthony, leaves to deliver the remaining pizzas and I will personally call to back this kid up...even though I NEVER ordered a pizza, nor have I ever heard of this establishment.
Anthony goes to deliver the rest of his orders. I call the store immediately. Apparently, this location is 5 minutes from where I was at...
On hold 5 + minutes...8 minutes...10mins....
Okay, I am about to just drive there real quick in order to help this kid out and explain that he was doing his best, the address given was clearly wrong, he attempted to call his store to figure it out with me watching...I call the store myself, waited so long I decided to drive there and as I am walking into the restaurant, they answer..."How can I help you?"
Me: Nevermind that, I am on my way inside.
I proceed to wait patiently to be addressed by literally ANYONEin this place of business...10 mins later I am met with a "Can I help you?"
Ummmm, yeah...there's a kid by the name of Anthony that works here?
Yeeeaahhh??...he just walked back inside.
I just want you all to know that ANTHONY is a dedicated delivery driver. He was so worried about making his deliveries to an unknown address that he knocked on every single door, everywhere in the vicinity, tried calling the customer, and TRIED CALLING YOU, his place of work where no one answered NO. ONE.
Which now, he gets credibility...because I also sat on "hold" for an extended period of time and actually drove here because of you, Grandads, who refused to answer the phone.
This...
Read moreThe Upper Arlington High School Class of 1971 held a "70th Birthday Bash" [since most of us will be turning 70 this year] at Grandad's Pizza and Pub at 1490 Bethel Rd. [in the "The Gables" neighborhood of Columbus].
Many years ago, Gabel's Dairy [that had sold ice cream cones for 10¢, I recall, and you could walk to the back of the parking lot while eating your ice cream cone and watch the cows], had been located "out in the country" just a few blocks away [on Godown Rd. just north of Bethel Rd.]; hence, the neighborhood name "The Gables."
Grandad's Pizza and Pub had been closed for our "70th Birthday Bash" though they did allow occasional walk-in customers to enter the restaurant to order and carry out "to go" food.
While I had been waiting for the event organizers to decide to order pizza [evidently they had been waiting for more people to arrive], I ordered a half pound of boneless wings with mild sauce that had been quite delicious.
The pizza [that the event organizers eventually did order] had also been delicious.
Grandad's Pizza and Pub provided a friendly and welcoming environment for our "70th Birthday Bash." It had been great to spend time with people who I now only occasionally see.
One of the people with whom I had spoken during the "70th Birthday Bash" had been someone with whom I had interacted with most recently...
Read moreI ordered a pickup order from this location and when I arrived i was handed the wrong order. I didn't realize this until I got home and I promptly called the store and let them know that I was given the wrong order. I was told to bring the order back and they would give me my order. This response shocked me because what were they planning on doing with the food i was accidentally given? Their is only two things I could think of. They'd either give it to the correct customer, which is absolutely foul. Or they would throw it away, which if that was the case, why not just let us keep the food for the inconvenience? We had a piece of pizza thinking that they'd just let us have it for sanitary and health reasons already but we took it back anyways. I told the woman at the front this and she said, "oh, no problem. We'll just remake it then." Implying that they would have just given it to the customer it was supposed to go too. That is so beyond disgusting and normally I wouldn't ever right a review for any reason but the thought of that was so appalling, I felt compelled to say something. Hopefully after coming across this review they change their standard when serving food to guests. Food was slightly cold but not the...
