Really good food.
I had the lamb shank, wife had the chicken tikka masala. Very well rounded flavors. Tikka was smooth and rich and the curry with my lamb was a perfect balance of savory and spice. The spice was very well balanced. Not overwhelming or intimidating, but not weak and bland either.
We also had the 65 chicken for an appetizer. I've had 65 chicken at multiple places across the country and this was my favorite by far. The sauce was another perfect blend of savory and spice, and the cilantro added a pop of fresh to the overall flavor. The chef knows what he's doing.
I took a star because of the service. The server was more concerned with flipping her tables than taking care of her guests. We ordered the app along with water so we could have time to look through the drink menu. We had our appetizer finished before she came back to take our drink and entree order because she cashed out each of her other tables, bussed them, and reset them up before checking back in with us. I ended up getting their smoked bourbon cocktail, and had I got it before or during the appetizer I probably would have ordered a second one before the meal came out. It was very good.
It was also frustrating to keep our water refilled. And she didn't seem very familiar with much of the menu.
For dessert we had the kheer. My wife loves rice pudding and really enjoyed this one. The white chocolate is a very nice touch that adds depth of flavor and texture to the dish.
If you're a fan of Indian food you definitely have to give this...
Read moreWe had carry-out tonight after a weekend getaway. We ordered food we have ordered from other Indian restaurants to compare - Chana masala (chickpeas) Dal makhni (lentils) Palak paneer (spinach and cheese) Aludum ghobi (cauliflower and potatoes) Rosemary Naan When I asked about the spice levels, they told me they go by American standards and I agree! I ordered everything medium.
Our dinner was DELICIOUS!!!
They offer North and South Indian cuisine. I can’t wait to try out more offerings.
Give them a try!
Encore! Had dinner in the restaurant and food and service were fabulous. FYI, heat scale is 1-5. Crab appetizer - perfect for those who love spicy, but my husband had it medium. Dosa with the raisins and such, yummy Malai kofta (cheese dumplings) in tomato curry - delicious Biriyani, perfection (according to my son in law who is from that part of India) Lal Maas (red meat), none left over Naan came out crispy and fresh
New furniture scheduled to arrive in a month for an elevated ambiance.
Bar was being set up tonight - traditional drinks, Indian flavors like chai spice old fashion!
Chatted with the owner (Danish), super friendly and helpful…and extremely grateful for community...
Read moreI’ve never had Indian food before, but I was so curious when I saw the raving on the Columbus Foodies FB page! I’m always down to try new things, so my hubs and parents had lunch there today (Sunday). Please do not let the outside fool you - the inside is completely opposite! It is incredibly beautiful and uniquely shows off the culture. We wanted to try so many things! I am soooooo sad that we missed the summer mocktails! I hope they have another round of fun drinks to try for next time!
We ordered Bhindi Kurkuri, Chicken Fritters, Rosemary and Garlic Naan (the rosemary being my favorite), Roti, Tomato Soup (special soup of the day), Chicken Tikka Masala, and Paneer Makhni. My momma ordered a smoked bourbon drink, but I cannot remember what it was called unfortunately. I don’t think it was listed as an old fashioned. Everything had so much flavor and was delicious!
The service was great! The staff was very friendly, checked on us quite often, and cleared plates right away for the next tastings!
Overall, our first Indian food experience was a pleasant one and we can’t wait to go back and try some more! Thank you for a fun and lovely...
