I work in customer service and have worked in restaurants. Tonight, I experienced a customer service fail. Short version: if you need to finish something, just say "hi, we'll be right with you". Of course, if you don't actually want to sell any product, you can go with the long version: Pulled up to the drive thru speaker at 520pm on a Sunday evening. Waited. Waited. Waited. Asked the speaker if they were open. Nothing. Pulled up to the window. Manager, Lina, stood at the window. Glanced at me and turned away. I waited. I tapped my horn. She looked and rolled her eyes at me. I pulled around to come inside. Asked if she was the manager. Yes, I would like to speak with you. No answer. Cashier walked away and hid so he couldn't take my order. They kept me waiting some more while Lina talked to another employee about getting cussed out before. She was changing out the register, so she made a production of not hurrying and trying to ignore me. So I asked the three men waiting for their orders if they had been acknowledged when they entered. Yes, they had. Had they been kept waiting before their order was taken. No, they had not. Interesting. After sixteen minutes--and because I clearly wasn't leaving--Lina came over. I asked her to explain to me why she ignored me in the drive thru. Did I want to order. Yes, 10 pc dark. You rolled your eyes at me. You honked your horn. Because you didn't acknowledge me. Original? Yes, I can't see your name tag. It's Lina, L. I. N. A. I paid. You're not going to apologize at all for any of this? Have a good evening, ma'am. Nothing at all? We apologize ma'am. Only...

I love KFC, I don't get it often cause I'm on a budget, but I love it and didn't know about the app until tonight-which is kinda sad-but I didn't order from the app because I had a special request the app couldn't do.
To the point, I just stopped at the KFC near Georgesville Square on 06/17/2025 right around 10:00p.m. Yes, it's late it was a long day. I ordered a famous bowl and requested the chicken on the side because I had a dental emergency today. Also because I'm on a budget and I could just pick the chicken out, but I planned to share this with my daughter who won't eat the chicken with everything else on it. However she will eat the mashed potatoes, gravy, corn and cheese mixed.
I have requested this before and I was told it was not possible. However, tonight I requested this and the gentleman accommodated me. I didn't even explain why, until after he said he would and I was so thankful.
On top of that, he double checked my request verbally and was quick to fill the order. He was very nice and professional. Like honestly, I couldn't even explain how happy and satisfied this made me feel as a customer and a person.
I really hope management or corporate sees this, I wish I would have got his name, but I wasn't feeling well and didn't think of his name until I was eating and decided I wanted to share this experience, but this young man really deserves acknowledgement and I hope he gets...
Read moreI ordered the $6 shrimp and two planks of fish. I asked to have a fresh made hot out of the grease. I received six cold shrimp. I also received two cold fish. I also received too cold uncooked hush puppies I went up to tell the manager and she argued the point that I ordered fish not chicken. My buddy and I did not get receipts because she said she can't print receipts we have to take what she has to say as gospel. But she argued and argued the point that I ordered chicken not fish but either way it was not fresh dropped chicken and it wasn't fresh drop fish. So I got replacement for the chicken to get the fish but it was old and hard this is the worst Long John silver I've ever been to and I've been to these across the United States.
When you order from the KFC menu you should get chicken when you order from the Long John silver menu and she asked you are you ordering from KFC or the Long John silver menu and you tell her Long John silver and I have two fish planks added to my meal you should not never get chicken and if you ask for fresh drop you should never get old hard stuff that it's cold.
This is the worst management of any restaurant I've ever been to especially when a manager tells you she really don't care because she's a manager but she's a straw manager and she really didn't want the job she was more interested in getting out of here and getting high.
