Tonight my boyfriend and I went out for our first date night in months. I’ve only been to Red Lobster once before tonight. It started off as one of the WORST dining experiences I have had. First my salad had literally the smallest amount of dressing while his exact same salad had a significant amount. I thought this was goofy and didn’t get annoyed much. Then they brought no plates for our biscuits. 10 minutes sitting around waiting for refills, then our waitress like disappears. Another AMAZING waitress/bartender brings our food out but both entrees weren’t right. I asked for no sour cream on my potato , literally only got sour cream. He ordered shrimp and they brought him a completely different type of shrimp. Again, a little annoyed at this point but got over it. About 5 minutes go by and our original waitress has yet to come check on us. So I get up and find the woman who actually brought our food, AS sweet as could be. Corrected our order and brought extra shrimp scampi for the mix up. Everything was going good. Our waitress still nowhere to be found at this point though. Wait for refills about 10 minutes before our waitress walks to the table next to ours and still didn’t come check on us. So I go find the manager and explain to her everything that has happened. I really just wanted it corrected so we could enjoy our date night. She was amazing. Fixed everything, brought us more shrimp scampi and refilled our drinks. Shrimp scampi kept refilling without her ever asking if we were low (it was endless shrimp) she just automatically told the kitchen to keep them coming. She listened to our complaints - we never once asked for a discount of ANY sort. We simply only asked it to be corrected. She was very happy we understood that the kitchen was slow and we were enjoying ourselves. We tell them we are ready for the check and without missing a beat, the manager comes over and says you two enjoy your date night, dinner is on me. All I can say is well done. Even though it started terrible she didn’t let us leave upset. She stepped in for her team and was an amazing manager and made sure we felt we were heard. We left happy, full and waiting to return. I highly recommend personally simply due to their customer service and high regard for their customers. I’m extremely satisfied with her customer service as well as the other waitress/bartender who completely stepped up (her section was across restaurant and bar) and worked with us to correct our food while our waitress was nowhere to be found. She was just the sweetest young woman too. Definitely 5 stars, will...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed: Unprofessional Comment Ruined Dining Experience
Dear Red Lobster Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the experience I had at your restaurant on my birthday. As a frequent business traveler, I often seek out pleasant dining experiences while away from home. Unfortunately, my recent visit to your establishment was anything but enjoyable.
Upon arriving at Red Lobster, I had high hopes for a pleasant birthday meal. However, my experience quickly took a turn for the worse due to the unprofessional behavior of our waitress. During the course of the evening, she made a comment that completely dampened the atmosphere and killed the quality of service I had hoped for.
To my utter surprise, the waitress felt compelled to remark, "Alone on your birthday must suck." This insensitive comment not only ruined the celebratory mood I had anticipated but also demonstrated a lack of professionalism and empathy. It is entirely unacceptable for any employee to make such thoughtless remarks, especially considering that dining out alone is not an uncommon occurrence.
Needless to say, the rest of the evening was overshadowed by this unfortunate incident. The waitress's comment made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome, and it greatly affected my overall dining experience. I was left questioning the quality of service and the level of respect shown by your staff.
I believe it is essential for Red Lobster to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all customers, regardless of their circumstances. Making such derogatory comments is not only disrespectful but also reflects poorly on your establishment as a whole.
I hope you take my feedback seriously and address this matter appropriately. No customer should have to endure such unprofessional behavior, especially when celebrating a special occasion. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to ensure that incidents like this do not recur in the...
Read moreWent for endless shrimp a few weeks back and had an amazing experience. Got to bring our left overs home and was a good overall experience. Came back again for the same deal and incredible service and was extremely disappointed. Provided picture of all the food we had left over after our meal. We asked for a box to take it home, and we’re told we weren’t allowed to take our already half ate food. We asked if they would just be throwing it away, why it mattered. They responded with “we don’t want to promote people taking home left overs”. What the H-. . . All you can eat shrimp is ONLY in the building, couldn’t even take home my half eaten shrimp. Makes ya wonder what they’re doing with the left overs. ? Little suspicious. Manager also came out, and older man and he was extremely condescending and nasty with us. Told us we were welcome to stay there “all night” and eat, but then said no left overs “not even biscuits”. Totally horrendous service. Acted like wanting our left overs was pulling a fast one or something. Sad because the deal is what made us come back, and now us, our friends and family will never be returning. ...
