Parking lot, entrance is from the parking lot. Also some street parking. Pretty spacious bar with tvs playing sports, a jukebox (I think). Service was good, friendly. Fast. Got pretzels and perch dinner. Pretzels were good - braided soft pretzels with a well done bake. Dough is on the sweet side. Perch was alright - The visuals of the dish leave a lot to be desired as everything is a pale beige color, but it was better than it looks. Filet very firm, crispy bottom. Pretty good filet but I will say rather bland and rather dry aside from the lemon provided. I appreciate that this is Erie perch, and I hope they end up offering a cajun or blackened version for both color and flavor. The cole slaw was pretty good - creamy and tart. Fellow diner got cavatappi with meatball. Said it was pretty good - sauce was buttery and meat had some spice on it. Very filling. I'd say for the price things were good - not above average and not below. A solid place for a brew and a meal.

A decent local pub. We’ve been here a few times because it’s close by. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Thank goodness it wasn’t crowded because I believe she was the only one. The cheese steak sandwich was okay, with lean meat and a fresh soft bun. I appreciated being able to substitute the French fries for green beans which were perfectly prepared without heavy sauce or garlic. The perch sandwich was surprisingly good, but smaller than expected. With the bun it was a bit plain, but the fish alone was fantastic. Mild and flaky with a delicate coating. This would be exceptional as a stand alone without the bun. We had a couple of beers and a nice visit overall.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for us. They have a very extensive beer menu, but only one of the beers was actually theirs. Unfortunately it wasn’t a type I would try, but I was able to find something else on their menu. We had the nachos (not pictured) and they were phenomenal. I would order these every single time. The fried chicken sandwich was okay. We did not enjoy the meatball hoagie, but couldn’t exactly pinpoint what was wrong. It just tasted off and the bread was so soggy it just disintegrated. Seemed like they were suffering from being understaffed, but our waitress was fantastic and so attentive even though she was running inside and outside.

So I write reviews once in a blue moon-but I was either going to do this or call manager directly...We went here on April 10th(Saturday) and y'all were a little bit busy. So we understood that the staff wasn't as attentive(even though we were sitting AT the bar.) But not only did we not get waited on...two men next to us literally had us doing the waive to get staff attention. Like we stood up and threw our hands up. Here's the kicker, it didn't work. The two staff at the bar just kept laughing and talking to each other, did not even notice what was going on. He eventually got the waitress' attention by standing up and waiving his napkin around after I would say 15 minutes of trying to get attention. My beer was empty...and normally I would have ordered a second, but I couldn't get anyone's attention until our food was gone. Speaking of food, I couldn't even eat it for the first 5 minutes I had it because that's how long it took to FINALLY get someone to stop and ask for silverware and napkins. We also had something wrong with our order but the person who dropped it off did not bother asking if it was correct...but we let it go and decided to eat it as is. Our main waitress was nowhere to be found for the majority of the time there. Okay...Fast Forward to yesterday. We got Ale Trail passes the other day so we went back to Knotty Pine bc they were in the area we wanted to go shopping in afterwards. Plus we wanted a stamp. So we get there(on a Monday) it wasn't busy. But of course, we had the exact same waitress that went AWOL as last time. We didn't care because we thought, "everyone has off days." Well this girl never asked to refill our drinks, again. She DID drop off silverware before our meal which was nice. But when it was time to pay the bill, we tried getting her attention so many times that we gave up and went to the bar to ask for our check. I just wouldn't tell anyone to go here if they are expecting good service. Good food, good drinks, so if you're a patient...

I really wanted to give this place more stars. I've been here a few times. The first time was for dinner with a friend of mine and the service was decent and so was the beer. My fish sandwich was good, but my friend's food was straight up cold. They fixed it, but it was still kinda weird. The next time was for brunch and the food was awesome. Chorizo hash and chicken and waffles. Amazing. But the last time, for brunch my wife and I walked inside and waited a while before anyone noticed us, then they sat us outside and we waited for about 15 more min. I went back inside and finally got someone's attention and told them we hadn't been greeted yet. Apparently, no one had been told we had been seated. After several more minutes of waiting for anyone, it was a comedy of errors of getting the wrong drinks, waiting a long time for food, receiving a pizza that we didn't order along with our food, and then seeing the incorrect charges on our check after we sent it back since we hadn't ordered it. Overall, not a great experience.

Again, the food we got was good. But that service sucked. Really wanted to like this place more. And maybe it was just a bad day for them, but according to the other bad reviews they've got, it seems like that happens more than it should. Don't think we'll won't go back here even though the chicken and waffles are probably the best...

My wife and I came to Knotty Pine at 5PM on a Friday to beat the dinner rush. The restaurant was pretty empty, and we were sat immediately, given water and silverware by the host, but didn't see by our server for about 10 minutes. When she came over she took our drink order, but then took another 10ish minutes before coming back with the beer and taking our dinner order. The Knott Lite is a great brew, with the drinkability of a typical domestic and the flavor of a craft beer without the filling effect.

The food came out fast, we ordered a perch dinner and a chicken sandwich each with fries. The fries were pretty good, but the fish came out slightly undercooked. "No big deal" I thought, expecting the kitchen to throw the fish back into the fryer for a few minutes. We sat there with our hands in our laps for about 15 minutes looking for the server who was MIA, while the rest of the staff walked by us busy with their own things. I eventually threw $5 on the table for the beer and we left two plates of untouched food. The host didn't seem to notice us walking out either.

Maybe I caught them at a bad time,. The beer was good, but I have no plans...
