Kokomo Coffee and Juice Paradise — Restaurant in Columbus

I love trying out new places and I’ve been trying to find a coffee shop to replace Starbucks. The coffee here is great and the service is normally good. Plus I love supporting small businesses.

My only feedback is that one of the owners doesn’t allow me to get my order how I like it. I normally get cold vanilla foam with my hot lattes. Other places allow me to do this and the other employees here allow me to do it. It’s literally only one of the owners that doesn’t. His reasoning is because other customers complain about how the cold foam reacts to the hot drink. I really do not care how other customers feel about my drink lol. I’m ok with paying. Once I asked can he just add the cold foam inside another cup since he didn’t want to put it inside. He said no. That was a confusing response.

My routine now is to go and confirm he is not there first. If he’s not there, I’ll go inside and will get the drink I love. If he’s there, I’ll leave and go to Starbucks because they don’t mind making my drink how I like it, especially...

This was my 2nd time here and I witnessed Cleo running out of the shop with a carton of oat milk towards a car because he forgot to add it to this persons drink. How awesome to have someone so passionate about their product that they will chase your moving car to make sure you get what you paid for. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested a banana (pie?) latte (I forgot the full name but it wasn't on the official menu), the drink itself was not bad and had a creamy/smooth taste but it was pretty sweet and I ended up throwing out a lot of it as it was too sweet to drink the whole thing. It didn't have that much of a banana flavor, it tasted more like a mocha.
