I ate a very-early-and-pleasant breakfast yesterday morning [10-22-2022] at the Panera Bread at 611 E. Livingston Ave., Ste. A, in the "Southern Orchards" neighborhood of Columbus and across the street from Nationwide Children's Hospital.
I had been planning to attend an all-day conference yesterday at Nationwide Children's Hospital so I had decided that I would eat breakfast first at the Panera Bread that is directly across the street.
My food choice for yesterday had been "Sausage, Scrambled Egg and Cheese on Ciabatta." For some reason that is not completely clear to me, the sandwich that I had paid for and had received had not included cheese.
I had not been charged for cheese and I had not received cheese [which had actually made for a slightly-cheaper breakfast than I had been expecting].
I believe that it is possible to order -- and to pay for -- your food on one of several machines that look like credit card machines but I had not noticed those machines until after I had ordered and had received my order and had learned about the missing cheese.
If you are near Nationwide Children's Hospital during the early morning [as well as during other parts of the day], I recommend the Panera Bread that is directly across the street.
But I also recommend that you verify that you have indeed ordered what you had...
Read moreFirst I want to just say what is the purpose of rapid ordering when directions can not be followed. I placed my order for 9:50 since I knew my daughter would be out of class this location close to her college. Then when she arrived all chaos broke loose. She was told that they did not have bacon soufflé and it would be 25 minutes wait. I set a timer told my daughter pick up rest of the order I would go get the soufflé she decided she wanted to wait for the whole order. Then was told 20 minutes into waiting that they were not going to make the soufflé if we wanted a refund or something else. My son decided on another sandwich. To me time is precious she could have used this wasted time to be studying. Instead waiting on slow service. My daughter got the order at 10:30 after waiting at store since 9:50 for an order that sent confirmation order was ready for pick up in Reality it was not ready at all. So the avocado toast is cold And on top of that, I did not receive any silverware. Customer service 0 stars. At this point my meal should have been free. I’m glad I used my nursing code got my sandwiches 50% off. Thanks to this location for cold food. Thought this location by nationwide children’s hospital would have the best service it’s main population are health care workers. Totally Wrong. Oh well...
Read moreFirst, I need to start by saying that I rarely if ever give negative reviews. I typically only leave four or five star reviews at places I really like. However, this place is a glaring exception. Second, I need to say that I love panera. They are one of my favorite food chains. Their food is healthy and tasty, I like their corporate practices, and my regular experience is a fantastic one. With those qualifications, I would NOT recommend this panera. We submitted a rapid pick up order, sending it online at 12:00 for a 1:00 pickp up. We were traveling through the state. We arrived 15 minutes late. Our food was not ready. Furthermore, there was a digital list of about 20 people's names ahead of us, despite the fact that we had ordered at 12:00. At about 1:20, I asked a manager to cancel our order (which they hadn't prepared) and refund our money. He assured me he would. At 1:49, I received an email that our order was ready. I check my credit card statement a day later, and the manager had NOT canceled my order. Fortunately, when I contacted the corporate office today, they said the'd refund my money. I'd recommend that you visit other paneras until the corporate office has time to get their house in order at this...
