I really used to love this place I love the live plants in the building and a woman there has always been very sweet to me with exceptional customer service. I haven’t had an interaction with the owner until today! I always tipped 20% or 25%, and I have bought food from here every week for over 6 months.
The owner today just ruined my entire experience. I asked her if the fruit was fresh today on the phone when ordering the food. She said that it is made fresh everyday. I told her that the last time that I got fruit that there was some moldy pieces of fruit and that the fruit I got was old, that’s the only reason I asked. She said and I quote “I’m not sure how that could be. We make it fresh every day.”
Not only was she lying, but she basically made me feel like I wasn’t telling the truth about it! Last week I called when the owner wasn’t there and they were honest with me and said that the fruit wasn’t freshly made that day and offered me another side! The place is literally called simply honest …???? I don’t know if maybe they just got new ownership or what but I think this woman is confused on what honesty is :/ The food has drastically gone down in quality with in the last few months. When I showed up at the restaurant to pick up the food she was passive aggressive about me saying that I had gotten moldy fruit from there… I am very upset because now I have to avoid what once was one of my favorite restaurants. I really just didn’t deserve her to be rude to me today, I just got paid really well at my job and I was going to give a really good tip because I haven’t bought from there in a while. I’m sure the little bit of money I brought them will not be missed but that isn’t...
Read moreThe restaurant has an upscale Chipotle vibe. You can order from the counter or table. Party of 5, so chose table. QR code on the table for the menu. Self-serve water. Therefore we ordered and paid by phone, including tip, before the meal was served. The coffee was terrible. Black coffee came with creamer and brown sugar already added, not the raw sugar we thought we were ordering, on the side. Received a new cups of black coffee and it was still terrible. I asked for a plain bagel with cream cheese and was told we had to go to the counter. There is no provision to customize using the online menu. The food was so-so. The breakfast burrito sounded good but was disappointing. Hash brown potatoes were oily as if they were twice fried or pre-cooked before frying. Moldy dried-up blueberries in a fruitcup drowning in juice.
This location has so much going for it. Sorry Scrabmblers did not survive Covid in this location. As I was leaving, I looked around and thought this would be a great location for a quick Chinese restaurant, ala the Mark Pi's Express or...
Read moreFirst I would like to say there's a white guy working at the front counter. He kept popping his bumps, touching his hair, putting his hands on his face, all while making drinks at the front. He took the spoon that they mixed the drinks with and was digging the in the oranges machine and not once did he wash his hands have on any gloves. He digged in his pants it was a very unpleasant nasty sight to see specially when someone is handling your food and drinks. Needless to say I did not drink the drinks that he touched. Now as far as the food the French toast that I ordered was very dry but the fruit on top was good. My husband said that the egg bacon bagel was okay too much cheese in the fried potatoes were really dry. Do not recommend this restaurant I would never go back there all because of the guy that was upfront he...
