Edit as of 8/20/24: Both of the owners, Nathan and Seth, reached out in such a quick manner to discuss and remediate the experience. It says a lot about a business when the owners want to immediately extend any apologies and are open to fixing issues instead of ignoring reviews. I have no doubt that they will have a discussion with their staff to ensure future visits are welcoming and friendly. Thank you, Nathan and Seth! I have been coming to Parsons since before Covid. I have attended trivia nights, came on random nights of the week, even ordered delivery many times during Covid, and never experienced such bad service as I have tonight. I came with a few of my friends. First off, the bartender was so short and off-putting right as we walked in, then almost spilled a whole glass of wine on me (no big deal, honestly, had they had a better attitude and showed some sort of kindness). Asking to leave a tab open would be helpful, but I guess they were already wanting us to leave. My friends and I were hanging outside on the patio when I went back in to get us all another round of drinks and noticed the chairs stacked. I kindly asked another bartender when they closed because of course we don’t want to overstay our welcome. I was met with such an unprofessional and rude response. “We closed at 7 and we’re wanting to go home, so I was actually going to come grab your glasses.” I apologized and went to go notify my friends. The bartender followed me out to the patio and said that the other (impolite) bartender had called last call a good while ago. I said, “Well, he didn’t come out here and say so.” We are the type of people to of course not cause any issues and not overstay our welcome. If they had kindly came to tell us, or told us when we walked in, that they were closing at 7PM, we would have made sure to be out of there before closing. She then told my friends in a rude tone that she needs to grab our glasses and stood there. They hadn’t even finished closing completely yet, can’t just give them 2 minutes or not hover over them? They couldn’t even finish the drinks that they paid for because she just stood there. We were all very shocked with the bartenders’ attitudes. Have never experienced such rude people working at Parsons. We left and went over to Plank’s Cafe just down the street and had a really good time with such excellent service. At least we ended the evening on a good note. I hope Parsons’ management can advise their staff to be a bit kinder. It’s so disappointing as I’ve always known the bartenders here to usually be so nice. Nothing like going out and enjoying your evening to be with met with unkindness, really leaves a bad taste...
Read moreI recently [1-30-2020] attended a "Repro Rights Happy Hour," sponsored by ACLU of Ohio, at Parsons North Brewing Company.
As soon as I had arrived, a bartender offered me a free glass of water, which I gratefully accepted. I later noticed that there is a large container of cold water from which customers may fill their own glasses without having to involve a bartender.
The Parsons North Brewing Company had been a great location for the recent "Repro Rights Happy Hour" [which had been held in the southern half of that bar] except that too many people had attended that event with the result that it had been nearly impossible to move around.
I actually briefly moved to the northern half of Parsons North Brewing Company [where the "regular" customers who had not been attending the "private event" had been] so that I would be able to move around more freely.
When I went outside momentarily to take a nighttime photograph of Parsons North Brewing Company [to post to Google Maps], I noticed that Comune, an absolutely delicious restaurant where I had eaten about one year ago [and then I had written and posted a "Google Maps" review], is right next door. I visited Comune briefly and told them that I would return the next time when I am in that neighborhood.
I want to thank Parsons North Brewing Company for having hosted the ACLU-sponsored 1-30-2020 "Repro Rights...
Read moreIve been in here twice but bought several brews.
My favorite was a seasonal pecan one, and also the barrel.aged sour I drank today. The seasonal pecan is wonderful, warm and complex ale that tastes of wintertime. The BA sour I had today was fantastic - Almost reads as a simple farmhouse ale but with the BA back. I also had a cinnamon coconut stout which waslike cinnamon toast crunch in a glass without being sickingly sweet. It is dangerously good and crushable.
I really like their pear cider, but I dont know what it is about it but it wreaks digestive havoc on me so I dont drink it anymore. Seriously I drank it like 3 times both in house and from cans and same result. I cant drink it. I am a cider lover, so Im not sure why this specific ones screws with me but I avoid it now.
Overall pretty good brews. You have to go up to the register line to order every time which was a little annoying, but other than that its a pretty good place....
