Referrals/Reviews/Word of mouth are usually the greatest compliments to a business. Please Note: Never go to this restaurant! One of the top indicators of poor customer service include long wait times. I waited a total of 1 1/2hrs for my food. Everyone else in my party and others around the table finished their food. I had to ask the waitress for my food. The waitress came back with noodles “saying there’s 14 other people ahead of me so the rest of my food will be another 15 minutes” (which turned into another 1/2) I asked for the manager who knows me as a frequent customer. The manger apologized, offered a gift card and said that’s all he can do. He then started providing excuses by saying we came on a busy Saturday, we were 15 minutes late for our reservations, and that’s all he can do. I said it’s my birthday and I’m the only one that didn’t eat. He shrugged his shoulders and said there’s nothing I can do, sorry. He didn’t even suggest taking the cost off the bill just for my food. The containers were half empty anyway. I told him to keep the food and take it off my bill. I didn’t take the $20 gift card because It didn’t even come close to covering my total bill and I’ll never go back to this restaurant. He agreed to take the half empty containers back and take the food off my bill.
There were only 5 people in my party. If you subtract my order that leaves 4. The restaurant still charged the other two paying people in my party $14 a piece for a large party. This is a rip off! I asked them to at least take those additional charges off their bill. He said he can’t do that. Unacceptable practices!
I frequent this restaurant. The manager and staff know me and know my order due to allergies. If they provide horrible service to someone they know very well, imagine how they’ll treat new customers. Totally ruined my birthday party!!! Kyoto Japanese Steak House in Dublin, Ohio, your service is regrettable and extremely...
Read moreThis place has changed, and in my opinion, it's time to close and put something else in. I went here and was seated by myself at the hibachi table. My waitress as me what I wanted to order I told her I was allergic to mushrooms and didn't care for the shrimp but I would like some extra Zucchini. The waitress told me there no there are no substitute, and I had to pay more. $3 for extra Zucchini even though I wasn't eating the shrimp or mushrooms. I then asked what was in the avocado rolls, and she said just Avocado, and again, I couldn't customize and add cream cheese and cucumber like most. Then she told me I could just not sit for Hibachi. I could sit at a table and order other stuff. I didn't want that. During the cook, a spatchula came flying at my head and almost hit me. Our cook is either still training or should not be doing tricks with the cooking utensils near customers. Also, he put two fillet minions on the grill and then just threw the second one on a tray. So that was either wasted or some poor customer who ordered a fillet got that one a pre-cooked fillet just thrown on a tray where everything else was sitting. So they don't accommodate or allow substitution, there may be some food safety issues and the chefs are not trained well, and doing the tricks becomes dangerous. Sadly, go to a different Hibachi place until they figure out the customer is more important than saying no. The food was ok for $35 with tip. I only got chicken, steamed rice, small salad, and soup. I also did have a glass of wine it was $7. To me it was a disappointment across the board. If this review helped you at all please mark as helpful and follow me for more reviews...
Read moreI was there with my wife and 3 daughters. Chef clearly was in a hurry or didn’t know what he was doing. Just dumped a bowl of rice onto the griddle. No tricks, no fire, no jokes and acted as if he didn’t desire to be there at all. Saturated everything in soy sauce to where you couldn’t eat it at all. My wife and I ordered tuna (this was suppose to be sushi grade). It was not sushi grade and It was frozen. The chef said he had to cook it well done because it was frozen and then dumped even more soy sauce all over everything and causing a burnt soy crust all over the steaks, chicken, shrimp and tuna. The steaks were also frozen. It was gross. When speaking to the manager (who was also the bartender up front) he didn’t care at all to even listen to what was going on and walked away. When going to the bathroom- no soap and urine was all over the floor by the urinals. If this is how dirty there bathroom is I would hate to see what the kitchen looks like. After realizing none of this was going to be fixed I ask for the bill and I paid $260 for food and also left a tip for the waiter. We didn’t eat the food and left it all on the table. We got up and left. This place use to be a well known hibachi called a different name 3 years ago that was good but clearly it’s went completely down hill. I’ve been to hibachis all over the country. This is the worst experience I’ve had at any restaurant. The photo you see below is suppose to be sushi grade tuna. See the exorbitant amount of crusted burnt soy sauce all...
