Hallways have not seen a vacuum since Hoover invented them; random debris & tons of tracked in road salt everywhere. Third floor stank of cheap pot & sausage(?) along with construction dust & debris that covers all surfaces. This was also the very first time in hundreds of stays that I was asked to provide proof of my company rate code, despite having 20+ nights annually as Platinum with Choice.
Room was atrocious; dirty floors, dingy towels, everything broken or damaged. Bed uncomfortable, appliances ancient (how long since anybody in the Western world sold a beige painted stove?). Cabinets sagging & warped, which didn’t matter much since this ‘extended stay’ location contained nothing inside of them that would assist someone who was in need of such a property. Most facilities of this type provide-at the very least-a stack of plates, maybe a few forks & glasses. Things that allow a person needing an extended stay to you know, actually use the place for an extended period. Not only was none of this present, there was not a coffee maker, plastic wrapped cups or even Kleenex in the room; that means that this ‘extended stay’ property provides less than literally any other hotel anywhere.
Bathroom had stains on the sink (my positive mind says root beer, look at the photo and judge for yourself), waste basket was stained with what could have been a poorly aimed shot of chew or an emergency receptacle after a bender; the fact that they couldn’t replace a single plastic wastebasket that is grossly stained is beyond belief. Lamps, furniture & the aforementioned cabinetry are beat up and stained, and there are zero USB connection charging points anywhere in the room, because apparently it’s still 2009. I cannot comment on water pressure or temperature, as I figured bathing in the Scioto would be both safer & cleaner.
For a single night by myself when I was under time pressure for a special event & couldn’t be bothered to look for something else (or wreck my back sleeping in my car), it was… a place with a roof. For someone who legitimately needs a long term stay for work or while looking for a house, this place is deplorable & please...
